Arabella Stark is mentioned by Philip José Farmer in Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life as being the daughter of the reformed pirate Captain Blood by his wife, also named Arabella. The younger Annabella married a second cousin, another Blood, and had a daughter named Mercy, an ancestress of Doc Savage.Mercy Blood, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Blood, married Matthew de Pierson. Their daughter was Matthiette de Pierson.
