Introduction[]
I use to Kamandi,Last Boy on Earth.I really did back in the 1970's.I like him to a point and read it,because both Jack Kirby and Planet of the Apes was familiar to me.Also like Conan,Kull,Ka-Zar,it was a refreshing break the paper blob of superhero junk being throw out by DC and Marvel mainly .plus a few other lame attempters-that happen then and still today.The problem Kamandi is he just looked like the joke comic strip claimed as Kamandi-Laziest Boy on Earth and not the Last Boy on Earth as the title claimed.Kirby just could get the characters beyond this or that adventure.Like Killraven,Kamandi reached or came close to any sort of goal.All he ,like Peter Parker was bitch about this or that.Gee,Doctor Canus-humans are such losers and the ape are fags.Ok.he never said exactly that,but he might have,if acted more Jeff Specoli.Gee Doctor Canus,isn't really our time ?Ben Boxers gonna shit and then he's gonna kill us Renzi.We fucked his hover car.You can now see my point-no not the one on my head.Kamandi might have came off as Johnny Quest on the Planet of the Apes,if he more heroic-more brave and took charge of those dopey humans around.Clearly,those morons needed a messianic leader and Kamandi for better or worse,was the best they had.Certainly Superman and anyone wasn't going to come anyone rescue.And Green Laterns must just forgot about little After Disaster Earth.No Kirby and everyone else flaundered around until the book died.And attempts after that seemed Dead on Arrival.
Kamandi.I read the book,but got tired of it,once Kirby began to get silly on the book.When he left so did I.Thinking Kamandi just came not as the strapper but Jeff Specoli trapped in the Planet of the Apes. This looks like a far superior attempt than past creators tried revive Kamandi,but it needs to showcase the character better.While DC Comics is pooling all their efforts in the like superheroes,like Superman or Batman,they need also spend a little with non superhero characters,like Kamamdi.Otherwise,it's just a cheap gimmick to get readers to look in on their web site to eventually buy the same old superhero crap done way beyond death.
The Adventures of Shawn MacKalaster began as my way of re-doing Kamandi-without all the talking apes,monkey,craps,dolphins,horses,cats,dogs,chipmunks,roaches,ants,lions,tigers and bears-oh my.I also began wonder about Mad Max'sThe Feral Kid.without the grunts.
.Sure,he leads the tribe someday,but what happens between meeting Max at the oil refinery in Mad Max,the Road Warrior ?Both Kamandi and the Feral Kid are somewhat similar,if you look at both a certain way-long hair,wild child dressed in rags.Shawns my attempt to meld bother Kamamdi and the Feral Kid together,complete boomarang and adding bits of Johnny Quest.

A Great Disaster shook the land of Pangea.A asteroid unexpectedly hit the dyson sphere of Terra-Prime.The land shook and cities toppled,but the people hidden in the Great New Genisis Bunkers survived.
Golden spires of the old spires of the Old New Freehold Seaport gleam in the azure blue skies of this Northern Pan Almerhann city.Built by Tauron Refugees escaping the tyranny of the Great Tauron Empire-technology barrowed by the local terran settlers,sometime during this world plates Golden Age of Enlightenment.The Old Klaatue Palace is one of Freeholds cities oldest,premiere holo movie houses,that shows old holomovies from across the many worlds of known space.It began as a Tauron holomovie theator,designed by Vhalkin Klaatue
The people and much of the cities survived the Great Upheaval.
