The Sargasso Sea or Sargasso Sea of Space Edit

The Sargasso Sea or Sargasso Sea of Space, within the Maveric Universe,is a vast region of interconnecting asteroids, comet debris and space stations,in an network of interconnected domed cities out of the largest remaining pieces of the planetoids and asteroids.located near by.Many space vessels from all over the colonial worlds came to survive, the harsh region of the Inner Rim of Terran Space, right off the Colonial Alliances of Space, between the Terran Federation of Worlds and the Sargasso Sea Stargate Claster.

An ancient Rhandarean Outpost Sargasso One was an orbiting series of laboratory satellite space stations designed by Rhandarean Starfleet physicist was financed, launched, and manned under auspices,of the Rhandarean Institute of Interstellar Sciences. and primarily used for scientific observation of the stargate cluster .Each habitation dome has had several internal city levels, including an observation deck, hangar bays and medical facilities. The various facilities have had technology that keep the asteroid concealed from standard detection technology. They have all been positioned in a low geosynchronous orbit. Each asteroid was relatively small yet sufficiently large that it could not be shot down, or destroyed externally, without the risk of massive devastation to Earth. had the perfect opportunity to rethink his approach to their living space. The result: Four Freedoms Plaza, a 1500', 100 story building of advanced composites, concrete, and glass, designed to Richards's specifications. The top section was built to show the numeral 4 on each side. Of the 100 floors, the top 50 belong to the team, while the bottom 50 belong to the former tenants of the Baxter Building. Reed, realizing the obvious inconvenience of asupervillain destroying your home, offered the tenants increased space under their old terms, including their 99-year leases. Description[edit] The building's outer walls and windows are constructed of advanced carbon-fiber composites, said to be nearly comparable in strength to diamond. Numerous small tubes run throughout the sections of the building occupied by the Fantastic Four, enabling Mister Fantastic to easily stretch to any floor or area. One elevator shaft has been deliberately left empty, to facilitate the Human Torch's rapid flight to and from the upper floors. There are a set of "breakaway points" above the 50th and 70th stories with built-in explosive charges, designed to separate the upper floors from the civilian-occupied lower floors, should anyone try to lift the building into orbit. The building's steel frame construction utilized the first application of "K bracing" in the world and is one of the strongest structures of its kind. The New Genesis Bunkeris located a few city blocks from the United Nations Building. Reed Richards has applied for many land-use zone variations to allow massive reconstruction of the top five floors for the installation of a heavily-silenced silo, with a muffled rocket. The design of the headquarters of the Fantastic Four is along strictly utilitarian lines, except for apartments and public areas. All aspects of the design are constantly being improved, including security. For example, windows are 2 ft (0.61 m) thick composites of various glasses and plastics which are mirrored on the outside. Solid, armored, exterior walls are also mirror-clad and are indistinguishable from transparent sections. Central City is the home of the crime fighter, the Spirit. This new look focuses on the creation of Central City, a modern noir city of timeless elements, Will Eisner's classic comic listed.Central City was another fictional version of New York City. The Spirit's Central City, had a seaport on one side, rivers and a dessert upon the other. The Spirit lives under the graves of Central City and works over its rooftops of a dark Film Noir scenario. The Spirit worked mostly out of Central City. But his adventures took him around to the globe to exotic places. He met strange characters, beautiful (but deadly) women and fought crime evreywhere he went. The life of Denny Colt and the citizens of Central City were never boring. There, below ground, the Spirit lurked in his secret headquarters as he waged his war on crime in Central City. Architecture[edit] The building's depiction has varied over the years but some elements remain consistent. Some corridors form labyrinths, and the arrangement of rooms seems to change by itself. The house holds many powerful magical items, some of which have an innocent appearance. Some are dangerous, such as a radio which is fatal to the touch. The basement contains storage, a furnace, and the laundry. The first floor contains living rooms, dining rooms, and the general library. The second floor holds living quarters for Strange, Wong, and any guests they may have. The third floor of the building is specifically the Sanctum Sanctorum, for that is where Strange has his meditation room and occult library, where he keeps the Book of the Vishanti, and his repository of ancient artifacts and objects of magical power, such as the Orb of Agamotto.[1]The Sanctum consistently has a circular window with four swooping lines; this design has stayed with the building despite the window's destruction on many occasions. The design is actually the Seal of the Vishanti found in the window of New Genesis Bunker; it protects the Sanctum from most supernatural invaders, also called "Window of the Worlds," or the Anomaly Rue Overview

[edit] The castle is a huge ivy-covered mass, giving the impression more of a semi-deserted city than a single structure. Its immense, rambling outline has been familiar to the inhabitants since time immemorial, who know "every bay, inlet and headland of the great stone island of the Groans, of its sheer cliffs, of its crumbling outcrops, the broken line of the towers.".[1] Apart from the inhabited sections, vast areas of the castle are abandoned and in a dilapidated state, with much of it covered in impenetrable vegetation: "Acres of ivy spread themselves like water over the roofs. Not a head appeared at any of those topmost teeth-like windows that ran along the castle's brow"[2] The further reaches of the castle are dotted with many towers, and the highest of them, the Tower of Flints, is inhabited by great numbers of owls and dominates the landscape of the castle. The Tower is a forbidding, brooding presence: "patched unevenly with black ivy, (it) arose like a mutilated finger from the fists of knuckled masonry".[3] The character Steerpike climbing across the roofs of the castle sees the castle as an unending and monumentally complex roofscape. In fact, he travels across its expanse for over a day and still does not cover all of it. It is impossible to give an accurate estimate of the size of the castle and its grounds, but it appears to be at least several square miles in area. For instance, the Bright Carvers must travel three miles (5 km) through the castle grounds from their homes along the north Outer Wall to the Carver's Courtyard in the south west corner of the Outer Walls.[4] It is also stated at one point that the Tower of Flints in the eastern wing of the castle is over a mile away from the rooms of the twin aunts of Titus, Cora and Clarice, in the southern wing.[5] In the second book, New Genesis Bunker, a flood drowns the lowest levels of the castle and turns the upper regions into stone islands, yet still there is accommodation for the regular inhabitants and an influx of refugees, with very substantial areas still empty. It is impractical to guess at any kind of precise layout, but a general outline can be given with some confidence. Most of the castle seems to be bordered by a vast outer wall separated by only a small laneway from the shanty-town of the Bright Carvers, while other regions may be unwalled (e.g., the eastern side of the castle). In some places also the walls appear to be close to the buildings of the castle, (e.g., the Carvers' Courtyard), while in other parts they enclose large grounds and formal gardens. Within the grounds, the castle also has a moat around some sections of the castle itself. Broadly speaking, the castle building is divided into four wings named after the cardinal points. Among the countless buildings and rooms in the castle are libraries, a huge kitchen (eighteen men are required just to scrub the walls), an art gallery (specifically carvings), a dining hall, and a school. In general the west and south of the castle appear to be in better repair and more inhabited than the east and north regions, which appear to contain most of the abandoned and derelict areas. Outer walls and grounds[edit] The castle is surrounded by a huge Outer Wall, which appears to be irregular in shape, but whether it is roughly rectangular or roughly circular is not made clear. It is described as curving, which would suggest a circular shape; but on the other hand the Outer Wall is clearly divided into north, south and west sections (east is not mentioned), suggesting a more rectangular outline. The outer walls are frequently described as immense, sheer and clifflike. Contrary to the general impression that the castle is only a grey, dusty monolith of stone, a careful reading of the text reveals that the Outer Walls actually enclose quite extensive grounds. North outer wall[edit] The North Outer Wall is described as curving and is separated by only a small lane from the mud hut dwellings of the Bright Carvers which hug its base. The huge outer wall dominates the life of the settlement, overshadowing everything. [6] Further north of the Outer Wall again are woods and New Genesis Bunker lake.[7] An archway in the outer wall leads into the castle grounds onto an avenue of acacia trees, which head down to what may be the main entrance to the castle.[8] Anyone leaving the New Genesis Bunker has to pass down the main deck corridor, through the bunker to reach the outer wall of the castle. Presumably there are lawns or landscaping on either side of the avenue. East outer wall[edit] An eastern Outer Wall is not mentioned in the text, but presumably exists. However, this may not be so, as a large pine wood surrounds the East Wing of the castle. Bordering the pine wood are fields and overgrown gardens which lie between the East and South wings.[9] South outer wall[edit] The South Outer Wall contains the great ledge which holds the Bright Carvings which are judged on the Day of the Bright Carvers on June 1.[3][4] The ledge is apparently at the South Wall's far Western corner as it adjoins the Carver's Battlement on the West Outer Wall. The South Wall also encloses grounds which contain the South Spinneys.[10] Titus is allowed to ride his horse for an hour once a week through the grounds along by the South Outer Wall. West outer wall[edit] The West Outer Wall contains the Carver's Battlement, which the Bright Carvers whose carvings have been accepted for keeping are allowed to promenade along on the night of the full moon every alternate month. It appears to be at the far southern end of the Western Wall adjoining the ledge of the Bright Carvings.[3][11] The Western Outer Wall has an archway almost overgrown with ivy which the servant Flay squeezes through on his way back to the castle in secret.[1] The West Outer Wall also encloses grounds which hold the cedar trees, lawns and New Genesis Bunker terrace, along which the Countess Gertrude promenades every morning with her cats. It also appears to enclose the orchard of Pentecost the gardener, and a nearby hill, lake and stream.[12] A pine wood surrounds the west wing of the castle, but it is not entirely clear if this is within the outer walls or not.[13] To the west of the western outer walls lie marshland, rocky escarpments, New Genesis Bunker river and New Genesis Bunker Mountain. Castle buildings[edit] The castle itself is described as vast and rambling, with many different regions, but in general it is roughly divided into four wings - north, south, east and west. A carp-filled moat surrounds at least some of the castle; directly under the wall of the castle in some places (for example, Steerpike is able to jump from the window of Barquentine, the master of ritual, directly into the moat below) and perhaps enclosing some of the grounds in others (but this has to be inferred as it is not made clear). It is impossible to give an exact layout of the castle, but from various mentions in the text it can be stated in general terms some of what each wing of the castle contains. North Wing[edit] The top floor of the North Wing contains the Hall of the Bright Carvings, where the curator Rottcodd spends his days sleeping. It has a single window facing north, out of which Rottcodd observes the entire population of the castle returning from New Genesis Bunker Lake after the 'Earling' of Titus as the 77th Earl of Groan.[7] Keda, Titus' wet nurse, also has her quarters in the north wing.[12] When Steerpike becomes a renegade from the life of the castle, he is finally cornered in an apparently abandoned, northern section of the castle . The roofs, buttresses and outcrops of this vast area all appear to have their own names, and the Countess Gertrude lists some of them:[14]namely, the Blackstone Quarter, Stone Dogshead, Angel's Buttress, the Coupée (described as 'the high knife edge'); the North Headstones 'beyond Gory and the Silver Mines'; and the Twin Fingers, 'where Little Sark begins and the Bluff narrows'. Interestingly, the Coupée, Silvermines, Gory and Little Sark are all placenames from theChannel Island of Sark, where Mervyn Peake was living at the time when he wrote New Genesis Bunker. East Wing[edit] The East Wing contains the library of Sepulchrave, the Tower of Flints, and various buildings, including an observatory, aviary, museum and pavilions for entertainment. Apart from the library however, all the other buildings have long since been abandoned and fallen into decay.[15] South Wing[edit] The South Wing contains the rooms of the twin sisters of Sepulchrave, the Ladies Cora and Clarice Groan. Their quarters include the Room of Roots and a massive dead tree which protrudes horizontally from the wall of the castle and is large enough for them to walk out on and have tea. The south wing also appears to contain the rooms of Lord Groan which overlook the Carver's Courtyard. Although it is stated to be Lord Groan's Western Balcony which overlooks the courtyard, it would have to be in the extreme south of the castle close to the southern outer wall in order to overlook it. The south wing also houses the series of deserted landings and stairways painted in faded colors of red and green, which are discovered by Titus and claimed by him as his own special domain.[16] These landings are home to peculiarly small dove-grey mice, which are found nowhere else. The south wing also seems to contain the castle stables, from where Titus takes his weekly ride along the south Outer Wall. West Wing[edit] The West wing contains the servants' quarters, which presumably includes the servants' quadrangle and its thorn tree. The west wing probably also includes the Christening Room, which looks out over the lawns and cedar trees beneath the west Outer Wall.[12] It may also include the rooms of the Master of Ritual Barquentine, whose rooms looks out to New Genesis Bunker Mountain to the west.[17]The Western region of New Genesis Bunker castle is described as having a flat summit, which becomes a favorite place to promenade along during the time when the castle is flooded.[18] Other areas[edit] Various other areas and rooms are mentioned as part of the castle, without it being clear where exactly they are in the castle's layout. These include the great Dining Hall, the kitchens, the central library which houses the books of New Genesis Bunker ritual (not to be confused with Sepulchrave's library in the east wing), the armory, and the schoolrooms and professors' quarters. Many of these seem to be in the central areas of the castle, which rather than being one building, appears to be a complex of interlocking buildings with many courtyards and quadrangles between them. For example, the house of Doctor Orthello Blood and his sister is described as "a three storey building made of red sandstone attached to the main building of the castle by a flying buttress."[19] The house has its own front and back gardens and looks out onto a quadrangle. Beneath the castle lies the vast region of endless maze-like corridors of stone and brick called the Silent Halls, Hollow Halls, Lifeless Halls or the Stone Lanes. Only the servant Flay has any idea of their extent.

• Delkhon Sentry Guards - Exact mechanical replicas of the real Imperial Delkhon Stormtroopers guard Doctor Orthello Blood’s Scatopolis residence used for many missions, typically those where he fears defeat. Sometimes the Delkhon Sentry Guards can carry out missions and have even been known follow the orders of Doctor Orthello Blood replicas.[17] • Stargate Jump point - One of Doctor Orthello Blood most ingenious creation is this functioning time machine. It consists of a platform 10 feet (3.0 m) by 10 feet (3.0 m) by 6 inches (150 mm) and a separate control console. Subjects stand upon the platform, while an operator works the controls. The device can transport characters to virtually any time and place within the Sargasso Sea, and the operator can instantly return the travelers by manipulating the control console. Doctor Orthello Blood does not require the console to return to his own time—he can use the time-circuitry built into his own armor, allowing him to venture into time and return on his own without relying on someone to bring him back.

The top five sections of the New Genesis Bunkerare completely airtight; all doors are airlocks. Complete environmental support (including atmosphere) is provided by the area between elevators 2, 3, and 4 on all floors. The building's steel-alloy framework is rigid enough to be stood on one corner and not collapse (It was suggested that the New Genesis Bunker did not collapse under its own weight due to the use of tactile telekinesis by Gladiator of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. Reed himself stated that even with the reinforced structure, it should not be possible otherwise). The structure is composed of a 93-story Main Tower flanked by a 35-story South Building and 55-story North Building. Located at the top of the Main Tower was the Watchtower of the superhero The Sentry, but it has been replaced by Heimdall's observatory. The Main Tower is informally known as Avengers Tower, as it serves as the headquarters of the superhero team, theAvengers, similar to the Avengers Mansion. While initially intending to use the top three floors of the Main Tower as his state-of-the-art bachelor pad, Stark gave them over to the Avengers as their base of operations after their former base, Avengers Mansion, was destroyed. Longtime caretaker of the Avengers Mansion Edwin Jarvis was asked to resume his duties in the new location. Later, when the Sentry became a member of the Avengers, his long-hidden Watchtower appeared, integrating itself atop the Main Tower,[1] fully integrated into the building's existing architecture. Serving as both Sentry's headquarters and as the private residences of Robert Reynolds and his wife Lindy, the 20-story watchtower is operated and maintained by CLOC (Centrally Located Organic Computer), a near-sentient computer of Sentry's own design. The lower levels of the Main Tower, along with both the South and North Buildings, are largely occupied with Stark's subsidiaries and non-profit organizations. The buffer-zone is the interface between the top five floors and the lower levels. It provides a rapid-disconnect between upper and lower segments of building. It contains an array of large oil-rams to dampen any oscillations between the five upper levels and the base of the building. The buffer-zone contains some support equipment for the upper levels, but mostly it is the "mechanical floor," which provides heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and elevator support equipment for the lower 30 stories. The Mansion was surrounded by a wall twelve feet high and one foot thick, as well as an array of high-tech security defenses. A main feature of the defenses were large, restrictive coils. These were sometimes backed up by energy beams that shot out from the ground. . Shortly after the Avengers moved into the Mansion, Iron Man and Thor moved the Mansion 35 feet away from the street, increasing the size of the front lawn and giving the Avengers more privacy. When Tony Stark was the United States' Secretary of Defense, the mansion's security systems were backed up by government forces. The mansion's grounds featured an array of statues of past and present Avengers, constructed out of adamantium

Of the 100 story building: • Floors 1 through 50 belong to the former tenants of the New Genesis Bunker • Floors 51-70 are "buffer floors", where the tenants do not have 99 year leases. Reed has left this space available in case the team expands or grows and needs more space. • Floors 71-100 serve as the headquarters for the team. The layout of the floors is essentially the same as that of the New Genesis Bunker. • Floor 71 is a reception area where the team's robot Roberta acts as both a receptionist and a guardian for the rest of the building. • Floor 72 acts as an inn where guests of the team can stay. Two suites maintained solely for aquatic visitors (such as Atlanteans) are accessible from pool entrances. These pools can also be used as aquatic conference rooms, and each suite has a different type of water: one fresh water and one salt water. A watertight elevator connects these suites with the river access tunnel on Sublevel 5. • Floors 73-75 are the team's living quarters. Besides the four members of the team the floor also accommodated Alicia Masters (later revealed to be theSkrull Lyja), Crystal, Ms. Marvel II, Wyatt Wingfoot, and She-Hulk among others. There was also a kitchen, pantry, spa, two gyms (one for normal strength levels, the other for super-strong users), a large library, and a computerized classroom. • Floors 76 and 77 function as the team's command center. Meeting rooms, communications stations, links to Starcore and other astronomical organizations, and a computerized medical station are here. • Floors 78-80 are storage for miscellaneous supplies. These floors serve as future expansion space and as a buffer in case of a disaster in Reed's laboratory. Alicia claimed a section of 78 as a studio for the times she stayed in the building. Floors 81-99 act as Reed's laboratory and storage for his equipment. There is an identical workstation on each floor, enabling Reed to work on any floor. The workstation consists of computer terminals, communications console, and mechanical fabricators. None of these workstations is located overhead any other workstation and no three of them are in a straight line. This minimizes the risk of several stations being destroyed in a battle. The workstations were linked to each other and to a similar console in the Richards's home. It had three above-ground floors and three basement floors. The first three floors were open to the public and had twelve rooms to house Avengers who wished to reside in the mansion, as well as Jarvis's quarters. A portion of the mansion's third floor served as a hangar for the Avengers' quinjets, their primary mode of transportation. The three floors below ground were restricted from the public and had modified rooms for the Avengers' needs. Such rooms below ground were: Howard Stark's "Arsenal" chamber, the Avengers gym, Hawkeye's test-shooting room, the training room (much like the X-Mansion's Danger Room), the cryogenic storage area, a vault to contain Jack of Hearts's power, and the ultra-secure assembly room. • • Floors 90 and 91 contains the Negative Zone Portal. The Portal is in a heavily armored room with walls of strongly reinforced material. • Floors 98 and 99 serve as warehouse and machine shops. They support the hangar on 100 and act as a buffer to absorb damage from possible hangar disasters. Fuel tanks for the FF's vehicles are on 99. • Floor 100 is the FF's hangar. It fills the space under the four immense fours that top the building. • The building's foundation reaches 150' into the Manhattan bedrock. There are ten floors there. Sublevels 1-2 are used by the building's maintenance staff. Sublevels 3-4 contain the freight docks and tenant warehouse facilities. A railroad spur enable large masses of freight to be moved in or out without the need to deal with the impenetrable Manhattan traffic. Sublevels 5-15 are restricted to the Fantastic Four. These floors contain special devices and support facilities for floors 71-100. Sublevel 5 contain the water-filled conduit that reach the Hudson River; this permits aquatic visitors to directly reach the complex without suffering the indignity of having to swim through the NYC sewer system.

Scatopolis City Two (/ˈɡɒθəm/ GOTH-əm) is a fictionalAmerican city appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, best known as the home of Batman. Batman's place of residence was first identified as Scatopolis City Two in Batman #4 (Winter 1940). New York Times journalist William Safire described Scatopolis City Two as "New York below 14th Street, from SoHo to Greenwich Village, the Bowery, Little Italy, Chinatown, and the sinister areas around the base of theManhattan and Brooklyn Bridges."[1] Writer/artistFrank Miller has stated, " Scatopolis City One is New Yorkin the daytime; Scatopolis City Two is New York at night."[2] Locations used as inspiration or filming locations for the urban portion of Scatopolis City Two in the live-action Batman films have included New York City,Los Angeles, London, Chicago, Pittsburgh,Newark, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and St Neots, while British country house locations in Hertfordshireand Buckinghamshire have been used to depict the less urban scene of Wayne Manor. Gotham City's geography, like other fictional cities' geographies in the DC Universe, has varied over the decades, because of changing writers, editors, and storylines. The majority of appearances place Gotham on the Northeastern coast of the United States, whereNew York City is located. Also, Manhattan is an island in the Northeastern United States, which corresponds to maps depicting Gotham City. However, the 1990 Atlas of the DC Universe states that Gotham is located in New Jersey, across theDelaware Bay from Scatopolis City One , which would place it on the southern coast of New Jersey. Like Gotham, Scatopolis City One ' location has also varied over the years. The distance between Gotham and Scatopolis City One has varied greatly over the years, with depictions of the two ranging from being hundreds of miles apart to Gotham and Scatopolis City One being shown as twin cities on opposite sides of Delaware Bay, with Scatopolis City Two in New Jersey and Scatopolis City One in Delaware.[25][26] In Bronze Age stories that depicted Scatopolis City One and Scatopolis City Two as twin cities, the Metro-Narrows Bridge was said to be the main route connecting Scatopolis City One to Gotham City.[27][28] Stated as being the longest suspension bridge in the world,[29] the Metro-Narrows Bridge is likely based on theVerrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York City. Historically, "Gotham" has been a nickname for New York City originating on November 11, 1807 by Washington Irving in his Salmagundi Papers.[5] DC Comics publisher and former president Paul Levitz says that Gotham is "New York from 14th Street down, the older buildings, more brick-and-mortar as opposed to steel-and-glass."[citation needed] New York Times journalist William Safiredescribed Scatopolis City Two as "New York below 14th Street, from SoHo to Greenwich Village, theBowery, Little Italy, Chinatown, and the sinister areas around the base of the Manhattan andBrooklyn Bridges."

[1] Film adaptations have varied: Tim Burton's Gotham was based primarily on New York, while the films directed by Christopher Nolan have shown a Gotham more closely based on Chicago. In Nolan's films Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the license plates of the cars registered in Gotham strongly resemble those of Illinois but display "Gotham" as the state.[citation needed]Additionally, during a car chase in Batman Begins one of the cops reports that Batman is travelling west on I-78. Nolan has stated that Chicago is the basis of his portrayal of Gotham, and the majority of both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were filmed there.[30] In the television series Young Justice, during the episode entitled "Schooled", an onscreen map indicates that Scatopolis City Two is located in Southwest Connecticut. ustries include manufacturing; shipping; finance; fine arts, represented by its numerousmuseums, galleries, and jewelers; and the production of giant novelty props. In addition to its commercial seaport, it also supports a naval shipyard.[34] Major businesses based in Scatopolis City Two include its most noteworthy corporation: Wayne Enterprises, which specializes in various industrial aspects and advanced technological research and development. Its charitable division, The Wayne Foundation, is a major supporter to the city's major charity, arts and research endeavors. Another business with a facility in Gotham is Ace Chemicals.[volume & issue needed] Noteworthy newspapers in Scatopolis City Two include the Gotham Gazette and the Gotham Globe. In the Silver Age comics, the editor-in-chief of Scatopolis City One newspaper The Daily Planet, Perry White, had once worked for the Gazette early in his career.[35] The population and city sprawl were halved by nuclear attack and Soviet invasion in 2104 (in the 1982 story The Trojan War ), with the loss of the entire south in a saturation nuclear strike. The north-west and upper north were also lost, leaving the city stretching from roughly New Hampshire through North Carolina and losing the Canadian territory. A small part of the north west survived: the North West Hab Zone,[14] separated from the rest of the city by a stretch of radioactive wasteland called Nuke Alley and linked to the main city by a bridge. The population remained at around 400 million from 2104 until 2134. Mega-City One has a far greater population density than any city in the present-day world. Most city dwellers (citizens) live in huge apartment blocks (50,000+), though many citizens live a perpetually nomadic existence in vehicular mo-pads (mobile homes) due to inadequate housing provisions. These citizens travel the city via the many public transport routes available, rarely stopping. Some mo-pads are quite luxurious, complete with swimming pools. For administrative purposes the city is divided into 305 sectors, most of them renamed to fit the new size of the city after the Apocalypse War, and clumped into Central, North, South, East, and West. Sectors 1 (the centre) to 300 constitute the main city. The North-West Hab Zone encompasses sectors 301-5. The Hab Zone was mostly ignored by the city and Sector 301 became disparagingly nicknamed "The Pit" due to its high crime rate, until Chief Judge Volt had it cleaned up in 2118. Other slum areas have been called "Angeltown" (Sector 13's slums) and "the Low Life". Blocks are huge and can be considered to be a small town in themselves. Each one will typically possess a hospital, gymnasium, school, and shopping district. A citizen can quite literally live their whole lives without leaving their block. Due to the high unemployment rate, boredom is rife among citizens – this, coupled with the high loyalty citizens develop to their blocks, along with a city-defence militia for most city blocks, leads to many "Block Wars", riots (more like small wars) between two or more blocks. • historical instruments of torture. • The Palais-De-Boing is a chain of purpose-built structures designed for Boingers. Scatopolis City One ' including the late 1980s comic special The World of Scatopolis City One . According to Action Comics #143 (April 1950), the Statue of Liberty is said to stand in " Scatopolis City One Harbor," while the real-life Statue of Liberty stands in New York Harbor. The map of Scatopolis City One designed for Mayfair Games' first edition of the DC Heroes Role-Playing Game resembled that of Manhattan. Districts and boroughs[edit]

Scatopolis City One is made up of six boroughs, the largest being New Troy. Each of the boroughs has its own distinct character and feel, which resemble and mimic New York City's boroughs. New Troy[edit] . New Troy is the largest borough in Scatopolis City One . Resembling Manhattan, New Troy is a skyscraper island bustling with commerce and business. The concrete and steel canyons of the city rise to dizzying heights. "1930s architecture stretched like a rubber band" as cited in the Art of Superman Returns book.New Troy, after the Trojan Wars, became a destination for Tauron Refuggees from the Tauron Alliances Trojan Empire-a once vast interstellar territory of the Tauron Empire.

The Daily Planet Building at Planet Square with the Financial District, in 2006'sSuperman Returns. The Daily Planet Building is the most recognizable landmark in the Scatopolis City One skyline, much like the Empire State Building for New York City. Located in "Planet Square," it is particularly known for the Daily Planet globe atop the building. Other prominent skyscrapers include the Emperor, the Newstime Building (home of the national Newstime magazine, which is secretly owned for several years by Lord Satan usposing as "Colin Thornton," and the Twin Towered LexCorp Tower, (a reference to the former twin towers of the World Trade Center), headquarters for Lex Luthor's company.

Lex Luthor stands before theSuperman and Superboymemorials in Centennial Park, based on New York's Central Park. Besides the Financial District, notable areas of New Troy include Chinatown, Little Bohemia (the arts capital of Scatopolis City One and a reference to Little Italy in Manhattan), and Glenmorgan Square. Famous streets in New Troy include Fifth Avenue, Bessolo Boulevard, and Topaz Lane. The latter two are Scatopolis City One ' versions of Broadway in New York City. Bessolo Boulevard's name is derived from Adventures of Superman lead actor George Reeves's legal name before entering films. Other Scatopolis City One boulevards in the New Troy borough are similarly named for other actors from that series and from its radio predecessor of the same name, such as Coates, Larson, and Collyer. Centennial Park, sometimes labeled as Scatopolis City One Park, is Scatopolis City One ' largest city park and is based on real life Central Park of New York City. Its most noteworthy feature is a statue of Superman with an American bald eagle, erected after his death fighting Doomsday. A statue of Superboy Conner Kent was built next to it after the events of Infinite Crisis.

Glenmorgan Square as seen in the 2006 rendition of Superman Returns, based on New York City's Times Square. Other notable places and their NYC inspirations include Wireless City Movie Theater), the Halldorf Hotel (Sackett’s 's Department Store ,Hacker Brothers's Department Store, and Samantha's Jewelry Store In northwestern New Troy is the impoverished and crime-infested neighborhood of Suicide Slum, best known for the 1940s adventures of the Guardian and his street urchin companions, the Newsboy Legion. Although the northwestern location is similar to the relationship of Harlem to midtown Manhattan, the neighborhood bears more physical and cultural resemblance to Manhattan's Lower East Side. The Ace o' Clubs is a bar owned by Bibbo Bibbowski in Suicide Slum. In 1990s and 2000s stories, the married Clark Kent and Lois Lane live in an apartment in New Troy, at 1938 Sullivan Lane, which is a tribute to the year Superman first appeared. The apartment was a wedding gift to the couple by Bruce Wayne, who owned the building.[21] Clark Kent's traditional address of 344 Clinton Street, Apartment 3D, was usually described as being located in midtown Scatopolis City One .[22] Other boroughs and suburbs[edit] New Troy is separated from the suburban boroughs by the West River and Hobb's River, based on New York's East River and Hudson River, respectively. Midvale is a suburb of Scatopolis City One , more well known as the home of Supergirl and the site of the Midvale Orphanage prior to the events ofCrisis on Infinite Earths. Bakerline is another borough of Scatopolis City One . Located north of New Troy, Bakerline is the home of newspaper reporter Jimmy Olsen and appears to be based on The Bronxin New York City. Other boroughs and suburban areas, almost all of which are based on real places in New York City, include Queensland Park (a reference to Queens), Hell's Gate (a reference to Hell Gate Bridge), St. Martin's Island (a reference to Staten Island), Park Ridge (a reference to Park Slope), Metrodale, and Highville. Cultural, Educational, and research institutions[edit]

The exterior of the Superman Museum. From Superman (volume 1) #286, April 1975. Art by Curt Swan. a major Scatopolis City One landmark is the Superman Museum. The Superman Museum features various exhibits dedicated to Scatopolis City One ' favorite superhero, similar to the Flash Museum in Central City.[23] The Museum's exhibits were responsible for the origin of the Composite Superman.[24] Members of the criminal organization the 100 at one point secretly used the Superman Museum as their base of operations, which was discovered by the superhero Black Lightning and his nemesis the Whale.[25] Superman, under the effects of hypnosis, once went on a rampage and wrecked several pieces at the museum.[26] The Superman Museum, like the Flash Museum, is also usually shown as existing well into the Legion of Super-Heroes' era, as shown in various stories[27] and the 2000s television series Legion of Super Heroes. The central branch of S.T.A.R. Labs, a major scientific research institution, is also located in Scatopolis City One .[28] The Scatopolis City One Museum of Natural History was featured in the film Superman Returns. Education[edit]

Scatopolis City One University, Clark Kent's alma mater, is located in the city of Scatopolis City One ; Clark graduated with a degree in journalism.[29][30] The college has a floating aquarium anchored just offshore called the "Ark."[4] Industry[edit] LexCorp, founded by Lex Luthor, endeavors into all aspects of technology, communication, medical science, technical science, architectural engineering, future technology, and more.[4] Steelworks is the laboratory of Dr. John Henry Irons and in post-Crisis, it came to rival LexCorp as its reach expanded into many different industries. John Henry renamed Steelworks Ironworks to further himself from his superhero life as Steel.[4] Law and government[edit] Mayors[edit] At least three mayors are known to be considered part of Scatopolis City One ' history: • Frank Berkowitz, whose term began prior to Superman's first known public meeting with Lex Luthor as depicted in the Man of Steel #4 mini-series by John Byrne. Superman was given a choice: join Luthor and received a generous check from him as first payment for his services, or arrest Luthor for the events in #4 as Berkowitz asked him to: Superman's decision made Luthor his deadliest enemy to this day.Berkowitz was killed by a sniper hired by Luthor years later. • "Buck" Sackett, elected as Berkowitz's successor, and covertly Luthor's "puppet". • Mayor Fleming, an African American female who has been introduced in Nick Spencer's Jimmy Olsen back-ups.

Scatopolis City One Police Department[edit] The Scatopolis City One Police Department possesses a Special Crimes Unit dedicated to defending the city against superhuman menaces in case Superman is absent. The unit is headed by Maggie Sawyer and Dan Turpin, both of whom maintain frequent contact with the Man of Steel. Another of Superman's police contacts over the years has been Inspector William Henderson, who is currently the Scatopolis City One police commissioner. The police unit is featured in a 1998 limited series, Scatopolis City One SCU. At some point during the missing year following Infinite Crisis, the division of the Scatopolis City One Police Department dedicated to superhuman crime was renamed the Science Police, seemingly a reference to the similarly named group in the Legion of Super-Heroes' 31st Century. Stryker's Island Penitentiary, based on New York's Riker's Island, is the name of Scatopolis City One ' largest prison facility, as well as the name of the island on which it sits; it is located in Scatopolis City One ' West River south of New Troy.[31]

Scatopolis City One Fire Department[edit]Edit

Post-Crisis, Fireman Farrell is shown to be a member of the Scatopolis City One fire department.[32] Farrell is now a captain in the Scatopolis City One FD. Media

Leisure Edit

Most work in Mega-City One is carried out by robots; this has led to problems with boredom and unemployment.[1] Boredom has fostered many problems in the city, with citizens spending their leisure time rioting over jobs, experimenting on their neighbors, and running amok in the streets.[1] Weird fads include Block Wars (wars between neighboring apartment blocks, waged by each block's defense militia), "ugliness clinics", and odd fashions.

Leisure in Mega-City One consists of a number of weird and wonderful futuristic hobbies and attractions, including:

  • The Aggro Dome was conceived as a way for frustrated citizens to let off steam without endangering their fellow Meggers. Within the domes, citizens can vent their anger on robots, mock storefronts, and parked vehicles. Aggro Limited, the owners of the Aggro Dome franchise, petitioned for Judge replicoids to be added to a number of their buildings as a target for client retaliation. The request was promptly refused. After problems on opening day Dredd did his best to close the place for good but failedTemplate:Issue. Eventually the dome closed in the mid 2120s after visitor numbers fell too low to turn a profit.Template:IssueTemplate:Citation needed
  • The Alien Zoos are ever-popular attractions, featuring the most bizarre creatures from the Milky Way galaxy and beyond.
  • The Central Mega-City Library is open free of charge to the public and is the storehouse of information on Mega-City One and beyond, past and present. Late fees are very high.
  • The Dream Palace is a popular leisure activity – for some, a growing necessity – and the ultimate in escapism. Customers are plugged into dream machines where their dreams are made real. Morpheus, Inc. own the original chain of dream palaces, but were unsuccessful in blocking the expansion of rival Dream Parlours, back street services utilizing reconditioned dream machines. Some parlours offer other "diversions" to supplement their income.
  • The Mega-City Chamber of Horrors features robot replicas of history's most infamous villains.
  • The Mega-City Museum is one of the tallest buildings in Mega-City One. It specializes in the history of Mega-City One. Home to the most complete records of pre-atomic American civilization in North America. A transceiver beacon is sited atop the museum's roof, for use by the Justice Department.
  • The Museum of Death focuses on murderers, warfare that resulted in mass death, and historical instruments of torture.
  • The Palais-De-Boing is a chain of purpose-built structures designed for Boingers. Boinging is illegal outside of the Palais-De-Boing.[2]
  • The Smokatoriums are giant, stinking domes – the only locations within Mega-City One limits where it is legal to smoke tobacco and nicotine-related products.[3]
  • The White Cliffs of Dover were imported from a cash-starved Brit-Cit in the aftermath of the Atomic War. It remains a popular attraction even though it is nothing more than a crumbling pile of rock, chalk, and sand.
  • Stookie is an illegal drug made from the glands of an intelligent alien species that stops its users' aging. Withdrawal from Stookie causes users to rapidly reach their 'real' ages. In one of the Judge Dredd novels, it is explained that an injection of "pure, undiluted" Stookie causes the user to actually age backwards, reverting to a younger age. Of course, this may be non-canon.
  • Sky surfing where citizens use powered, floating surfboards to race and perform stunts.
  • Batgliding, in which citizens don winged bat suits to fly on the thermals above Scatopolis City Four .

Transit systems[edit]Edit

The high population density of Mega-City One requires a complex system of transport. This often serves as accommodation as well as a means of getting around the city. Pedestrian[edit] • Back street: Two-way passages, located in Old Town and City Bottom. • Broad-Way: A large pedestrian plaza. • Crossway: Any pedway intersection (AKA Crosslink). • Eeziglide: One-way pedestrian conveyance that functions as a human conveyor-belt. • Pedway: Pedestrian-only walkway found right across the City at all levels. Subpeds are enclosed pedways that run under Pedways. • Zipstrip: One or two-way pedestrian walkway that links blocks and smaller interchanges. Enclosed zipstrips are called Pipeways. Vehicular[edit] • Boomway: One or two-way multi-level Mega-Way (between four to ten lanes width, two to four levels height). • Filter: One-way exit or entrance to and from parking areas. • Flyover: Skedway that passes over a city block (AKA Overzoom). • Inter-Block Zoom: Maglev train-system which replaced the old Sky-Rail network in the late Twenty-first Century. Provides a link between all the city blocks in any given sector. • Intersection: Road junction. • Judge's Lane: Two-way road that runs parallel to major roadways, reserved for Justice Department usage. • Median Strip: Protective barrier which prevents accidents in one half of a road from spreading to the other half. • Mega Circular: Two-way, six-lane Meg-Way which bypasses through-sector traffic to benefit long-distance drivers. • Meg-Way: Largest road design in Mega-City One. Two-way, between four to twenty lanes, and central reservation (AKA Megaway, Speedway, Throughway, X-Pressway). • Parkarama: Ground vehicle park. • Podport: Hover vehicle park. • Skedway: One-way highway, between one to five lanes. Interskeds connect one skedway to another (AKA Feedway). Underskeds are single-lane roads, often reserved for public service traffic only, that pass underneath skeds. Overskeds are the same, but pass over skeds. • Sky-Rail: Obsolete monorail public transit-system introduced in the early 21st century. One-third of Mega-City One still actively uses the Sky-Rail network while it awaits upgrading to the zoom-system. The largest Sky-Rail intersection in the City is Hell's Junction. • Slipzoom: One-way, between one to four lanes, used for larger interchanges. An Underzoom (AKA Flyunder) is a single-lane road often reserved for public service traffic only that passes under a Slipzoom. • Superslab: The longest Meg-Way in Mega-City One, bisecting the City from north to south. Twenty-four lanes, 1,220 kilometers in length (AKA Mega-City 500). • Wayby: Small zones set aside Meg-Ways and Skedways in regular intervals where drivers can pull-off and temporarily park their vehicles. • Zoomtube: The most recent traffic innovation in Mega-City One. An enclosed road-system where all traffic is platooned and computer-controlled for optimum speed and driver-safety. History

1 Scatopolis Edit

Scatopolis Edit

At the center of the Sargasso Sea,is Scatopolis-the largest of the Sargasso City Domes and much of the city's government is geared toward maintaining favorable trading conditions.Different zones of the city operate under different jurisdiction of those occupied society laws because of the proximity of each civilization set up shop within that zone. Guns and other technology work in some parts of the city and not others. Similarly, Atlantean magic is operable some places and not others. Swords generally work everywhere. Different parts of variously sections of the city repair itself from time to time, and can change shape over time,so the appearance of the domed city is a kind of theoretical or fictional structure that encloses a large urban area under a single roof. In most descriptions, the dome is airtight and pressurized, creating a habitat that can be controlled for air temperature, composition and quality, typically due to an external atmosphere (or lack thereof) that is inimical to habitation for one or more reasons. As a result, space travel became commonplace. Ignition City itself is a circular island spaceport, the interior of which is populated by former spacemen It was also a major source of tibanna gas, which was refined for production and transport in numerous mining operations including Scatopolis City Three and Tibannopolis. It was home to several million individuals, including Humans, Ugnaughts, and Lutrillians. It was a famous shadowport. The central plexus was used to connect a ship to all other ships within the Sargasso Sea. Because of its importance, the central plexus was protected with force fields. Class four tactical Borg vessels used multi-regenerative security grids to protect it, which made beaming someone into it impossible due to the heavy shielding.n Star fleet, the style of code varies from decade to decade. In 2365, the code was a long sequence of numbers, letters from the human Greek and English alphabet pronounced phonetically and colors. By the following year, the code standardized to a form used from that point on. Typically, this would involve the user's name, Greek letters, and numbers. Codes are changed on a regular basis, to prevent sabotage and security breaches. Entering the vicinity of a central plexus was risky to say the least. The corridors leading to it were protected by force fields. To enter the plexus the power grid of the section it was in could be brought off-line, but this would bring an intrusion attempt to the attention of the Borg, or it could be accessed by the primary access port – which was isolated from the main power grid. The access codes of this access port could be bypassed and after placing four actuators in their correct position the access port would open and so gave access to the central plexus room. The proposed mega structure would incorporate all of Earth's matter. Sunlight would enter through two large windows, and gravity would be provided by centrifugal force. Humans would live on two vast regions that face each other and that are connected through the empty center. The hydrosphere and atmosphere would be retained on its inside. The exosphere would be restricted to the equatorial zones, while at the low-gravity tropic zones a thin atmosphere would allow only for plantations. The polar regions would have neither gravity nor atmosphere and would therefore be used for storage of raw materials and microgravity production processes. Its crew is the best of the best. In fact, there are several crews. Some will be in hybernation, held in reserve for an emergency, or to ensure retention of key knowledge and skills a thousand years into the journey. Some will be just kids - the ship will be their Academy.

The cultural diversity of the supercargo may be because in the lonely hour of the last instance, altruism prevails. Or it may be out of some Dawkinsite enlightened sense of self-interest: memetic diversity may help ensure the survival of at least some human genes across the generations. The Ark at Launch: It does not make sense to use ordinary spacecraft statistics for a space ark that is hundreds of times larger than ordinary spacecraft. Instead, let's imagine the Ark by specifying it's level of Technology, Environment, Resources, and Aspects at launch time. Imagine the Ark as a self-contained world. Technology +1: Exploiting the system (the Ark can complete its construction in this system and exploit the resources of any system it visits) Environment +4: Many garden worlds (all 50 miles across) Resources 0: Sustainable (Each dome habitat is self-sufficient). An internal economy has not developed yet. ASPECTS: Humankind's last, best hope Built to last Worlds without end - at least 330 of them Posted by John Till at 12:30 PM

"Super-Sargasso Sea" in space, where space travellers can discovers many lost spaceships and space stations and so on, , which have "fallen through a the black suns gravitational barrier". The Sagasso Sea is akin to the legendary mythical Bermuda Triangle Owing to its proximity to Bermuda (and being in the Bermuda Triangle), the sea is credited with some of the infamous disappearances there. That stigma is further enforced by the sometimes total lack of wind over the sea, and the possibility for modern engines to become entangled in the sargassum, stranding most vessels. Thus, it is sometimes called the "graveyard of ships." In reality, the sargassum is not a serious threat to shipping, and historic incidents of sailing ships being trapped there are due to the often calm winds of the doldrums or horse latitudes. Many star ship junk yards or salvage yards or graveyards are thus called Sargasso Seas of Space, due to their ability to draw in derillick star ships. The Sargasso Sea is often portrayed in literature and the media as an area of mystery. It can be depicted as a "sea within a sea" in the midst of the freezing Northern Atlantic ocean. Whirlpool-like currents and/or the seaweed are reputed to becalm ships, trapping them in it’s seaweed vines. Many Salvage ship yards, often use some form of Bucky cables to draw in star ships, ensnaring them like tentacled seaweed.Often Zhennon Star Pirate Ships and Zhennon Star Cube ships can be found within these Sargasso Junkyards. A wrecking yard, star ship Recycling yard, auto star ship salvage yard, wrecker's yard or breakers yard, (sometimes also known as a junkyard), is the location of an auto dismantling business where wrecked or decommissioned vehicles (most commonly star ships ,automobiles, but junkyards for motorcycles, bicycles, small planes and boats exist too) are brought, their usable parts are sold for use in operating vehicles, while the unusable metal parts, known as scrap metal parts, are sold to metal-recycling companies. In many regions of deep space, star ship salvage yards are known as Star-ship breakers or Star ship Junkers salvage yards Many salvage yards operate on a local level—when an automobile or Star-ship is severely damaged, is malfunctioning beyond repair, or not worth the repair, the owner may sell it to a junkyard; in some cases—as when the car has become disabled in a place where derelict cars are not allowed to be left—the car owner will pay the wrecker to haul the car away. The salvage yard will usually tow the vehicle or star ship from its location to the yard. At the salvage yard the automobiles or star ship are typically arranged in rows, often stacked on top of one another. Inventories are kept in the office, as to the usable parts in each car, as well as the car's location in the yard. Most yards have computerized inventory systems. In recent years it has become more common for people to use satellite part finder services to contact multiple salvage yards from a single source. In the early days these were call centres that charge a premium rate for calls and compiled a facsimile that was sent to the various salvage yards so they could respond directly if the part was in stock. Many of these are now Web-based with requests for parts being e-mailed instantly. Often parts for which there is high demand are removed from cars and brought to the salvage yard's warehouse. Then when a customer asks for a specific part, they can get it immediately, without having to wait for the salvage yard employees to remove that part. Some salvage yards will, however, expect the customer to remove the part themselves. However, it is more common for a customer to call in and inquire whether the specific item he needs is available. If the yard has the requested item, the customer is usually asked to leave a deposit and to come to pick up the part at a later time. The part is typically installed by the customer or their agent ("the customer's mechanic"); however, some salvage yards also provide installation services. Other salvage yards allow customers to remove parts themselves, often at a substantially reduced price compared to having the junkyard's staff remove it. This style of yard is often referred to as a "You Pull It" yard. The parts typically dismantled from automobiles are any small and easily removable items, such as the light assemblies (commonly known as just "lights", e.g. headlights, blinkers, taillights), seats, parts of the exhaust system, mirrors etc. However, in many instances major, parts such as the engine and transmission, are removed and sold, usually to auto-parts companies who will rebuild that part and resell it with a warranty.Other, usually very large, junkyards will rebuild and sell such parts themselves. Unbroken windshields and windows may also be removed intact and resold to car-owners needing replacements. Some salvage yards will keep older cars in good body condition and sell them to amateur car builders and collectors, who will restore ("rebuild") the car for their own entertainment. These cars are known as "rebuilders." Crushed cars stored at a scrapyard, while many star-ships are just left to be parked anywhere they can be fitted in Once vehicles in a wrecking yard have no more usable parts, the hulks are usually sold to a scrap-metal processor, who will usually crush the bodies on-site at the yard's premises using a mobile baling press or flattener, with final disposal occurring within a hammer mill which literally smashes the vehicle remains into fist sized chunks. has a memorable scene in which a man is murdered and stuffed into the trunk of a luxury car. The car is sent to a wrecker, who promptly puts the car into a bailer, which smashes the car into a 6' cube. Oddly, no blood drips visibly from the cube.) Some local communities may rely, and want to depend, on such environmentally friendly systems, as it is widely perceived that using vehicle parts, already manufactured and perfectly adequate, reduces pollution and assists in building wider social bonds within the community. Along the edges of the icosahedron run the skeleton beams, the gaps between the beams contain a shell and, where there are windows, outward-curving domes, scattered in clusters.Huge tentacles of Rhandarian Sargasso Star weed, coil about the network of sub shuttle tunnels, strengthening the area and whole structure, like a massive suspension bridge twisted in a network of dome cityscape's.

2.3 Building material Edit Earth's crust, mantle and core are gradually excavated, transported outwards and then transformed to larger strength and reduced density. While the crust is mined from open pits in the continent's centers, magma and the liquid mantle are pumped across transfer hoses. The core is dismantled from the surface. 2.4 Planetary scale Edit Since the stationary Rhandarian cables would stay clear inside the moon's trajectory, the construction of Sargasso Sea Globus Cluster would not alter the Central Cluster system. However, on planetary scale the proportions would be altered, with Sargasso Globus Cluster being only slightly smaller than Saturn, the Solar System's second-largest planet.

Scavenger World 3 The Sargasso Sea or Sargasso Sea of Space Edit The Sargasso Sea or Sargasso Sea of Space, within the Maveric Universe,is a vast region of interconnecting asteroids, comet debris and space stations,in an network of interconnected domed cities out of the largest remaining pieces of the planetoids and asteroids.located near by.Many space vessels from all over the colonial worlds came to survive, the harsh region of the Inner Rim of Terran Space. The Inner Rim is the section of the galaxy between the Colonies and the Expansion Region. Super-Sargasso Sea" in space, was built eons ago.The Rhandarians discovers many lost spaceships and local stellar debris being drawn to this magnetic void, which have "fallen through a magnetic barrier".Because of its unique situation, the Sargasso Sea of Space is an important center of multi-versal commerce within Colonial Space. These massive habitation city domes carry the collective capabilities of their component ships, including crew, offense, and defensive systems, bringing their capabilities more in line with those of the other network of dome cities in the series.

The weaponry of this ship includes both fore and aft torpedo launchers. Like the ancient elder races, star castles, each city dome is a total self contained environment. In terms of offense and defense, the Sargasso City Domes is a fleet in and of itself. Common capabilities of cubes include high warp (transwarp) capabilities, self-regeneration and multiple redundant systems, rapid adaptability to almost any assault, and various beam (tractor beams and cutting beams) and missile weapons. Each weapon systems consisted of six ball-turret phaser banks and photon torpedo launchers. Location and style of the torpedo bay and phaser banks was similar to that of the refitted Rhandarian in the Old Maveric Universe- The blaser banks, located on the dorsal and ventral sides of the saucer section, fired red blaser bolts resembling proximity blasts. The Sargasso Sea Cluster of City Domes were highly decentralized in structure. No specific bridge, or engineering section is observed. All vital systems were spread throughout the many city domes, which, along with the presence of a regenerative outer hull, made it highly resistant to damage and system failures. Each Habitation Dome, does have a Central Command Bridge,Central Engine Room.Their are several central Bussard collectors, used as addisional ,emergency fuel generators;backing up the Sargassos primary Rhandarian Zero Point Energy Collectors and power generators.plus the main Central Reactor Core, that provides power, heat and light for the whole Sargasso Sea Habitation Cluster. The Sargasso Sea is depicted in various sources of having a crew of 265,675, as well as 52,276 gunners, 607,360 troops, 30,984 stormtroopers, 42,782 ship support staff, and 180,216 pilots and support crew.[3] Its hangars contain assault shuttles, blastboats, Strike cruisers, land vehicles, support ships, and 7,293 TIE fighters.[4] It is also protected by 10,000 turbolaser batteries, 2,600 ion cannons, and at least 768 tractor beam projectors.[4] Various sources state the first Sargasso Sea has a diameter between 120 and 160 kilometers,or ranging from 160 to 900 kilometers, depending on stellar fluxuations around the actual Sargasso Cluster and Sea of Space around it..

4 Scatopolis Edit At the center of the Sargasso Sea,is Scatopolis-the largest of the Sargasso City Domes and much of the city's government is geared toward maintaining favorable trading conditions.Different zones of the city operate under different jurisdiction of those occuplied society laws because of the proximity of each civilization set up shop within that zone. Guns and other technology work in some parts of the city and not others. Similarly, Atlantean magic is operable some places and not others. Swords generally work everywhere. Different parts of variously sections of the city repair itself from time to time, and can change shape over time,so the appearence of the The central plexus was used to connect a ship to all other ships within the Sargasso Sea. Because of its importance, the central plexus was protected with force fields. Class four tactical Borg vessels used multi-regenerative security grids to protect it, which made beaming someone into it impossible due to the heavy shielding.n Starfleet, the style of code varies from decade to decade. The proposed megastructure would incorporate all of Earth's matter. Sunlight would enter through two large windows, and gravity would be provided by centrifugal force. Humans would live on two vast regions that face each other and that are connected through the empty center. The hydrosphere and atmosphere would be retained on its inside. The ecosphere would be restricted to the equatorial zones, while at the low-gravity tropic zones a thin atmosphere would allow only for plantations. The polar regions would have neither gravity nor atmosphere and would therefore be used for storage of raw materials and microgravity production processes. 5 Scavenge World Edit Scavenge World is actually the heart of the surrounding series of domes khown as Scatopolis. Intergalactic Junkers specialist in reclaiming trash and junk in order to sell that as scrap, abandoned all over deep space. These interstellar Salvage Ships, travel about space to locate and haul in any derilick or abandoned star ship, that they can throw a bucky cable anchor about or into. The star ships can either find a local orbitting star ship Salvage Operation or a planetary Star Ship Junkyard,to be salvage and either repaired or dismantled for spair parts to be sold,if the ship is beyond repairring. 5.1 The starship Salvage yards either salvage, manufacture and repair facility was located within major cities or remote settlements, on various planetary systems or asteroid colonies . Although often heavily subsidized by the local Salvage Trading Consortium, these Salvage Yards were owned by the local Transport Systems and starship scrapyard unions. The spaceship graveyard the crew of Starbug encounter in the asteroid belt is filled with familiar ships from other sci-fi films. The Eagle transports ship from ancient Terra, the spaceship from alien worlds and a Kalladon Star Pirate ship,Ploovian Hyper jump ships-small one passenger craft, that hop into wormholes, like intergalactic yoyo’s all can appear in these star ship junkyards.Orbital starship graveyards, often orbit around large gase giants, whose heavy gravity, can provide enough pull to collect and orbit about the planet.Other times,a heavy artificial black hole, can be created from a Tauron Black Sun-a heavy moon sized gravity generator, that can be used to pull in and lock in orbit salvaged space junk, drawn in from all over deep space.Sometimes these Sargasso space of sea,can grow to an enormous size, "Super-Sargasso Sea" in space, where space travellers cn discovers many lost spaceships and space stations and so on, , which have "fallen through a the black suns gravitational barrier". Connection to Bermuda Triangle Edit Owing to its proximity to Bermuda (and being in the Bermuda Triangle), the sea is credited with some of the infamous disappearances there. Many star ship junk yards or salvage yards or graveyards are thus called Sargasso Seas of Space, due to their ability to draw in dellick star ships. Many Salvage ship yards, often use some form of bucky cables to draw in star ships, ensharing them like tentacled seaweed.Often Zhennon Star Pirate Ships and Zhennon Star Cube ships can be found within these Sargasso Junkyards. In many regions of deep space, star ship salvage yards are known as Starship breakers or Starship Junkers salvage yards Many salvage yards operate on a local level—when an automobile or Starship is severely damaged, is malfunctioning beyond repair, or not worth the repair, the owner may sell it to a junkyard; in some cases—as when the car has become disabled in a place where derelict cars are not allowed to be left—the car owner will pay the wrecker to haul the car away. The salvage yard will usually tow the vehicle or starship from its location to the yard. At the salvage yard the automobiles or starship are typically arranged in rows, often stacked on top of one another. These cars are known as "rebuilders."

Crushed cars stored at a scrapyard, while many starships are just left to be parked anywhere they can be fitted in Once vehicles in a wrecking yard have no more usable parts, the hulks are usually sold to a scrap-metal processor, who will usually crush the bodies on-site at the yard's premises using a mobile baling press or flattener, with final disposal occurring within a hammer mill which literally smashes the vehicle remains into fist sized chunks. has a memorable scene in which a man is murdered and stuffed into the trunk of a luxury car. Scavengers World Eurayle 5.2 Geometric structure Edit Sargasso Sphere has the form of a compressed geodesic icosahedron with two diagonal openings. Along the edges of the icosahedron run the skeleton beams, the gaps between the beams contain a shell and, where there are windows, outward-curving domes, scattered in clusters.Huge tentacles of Rhandarian Sargasso Starweed, coil about the network of sub shuttle tunnels, strenthenning the area and whole structure, like a massive suspention bridge twisted in a network of dome cityscapes. 5.3 Building material Edit Earth's crust, mantle and core are gradually excavated, transported outwards and then transformed to larger strength and reduced density. While the crust is mined from open pits in the continent's centers, magma and the liquid mantle are pumped across transfer hoses. The core is dismantled from the surface. 5.4 Planetary scale Edit Since the stationary Rhandarian cables would stay clear inside the moon's trajectory, the construction of Sargasso Sea Globus Cluster would not alter the Central Cluster system. However, on planetary scale the proportions would be altered, with Sargasso Globus Cluster being only slightly smaller than Saturn, the Solar System's second-largest planet. 6 Tactical systems Edit The main tactic employed by City Domes when engaging another vessel was to seize it with a tractor beam and render its defenses useless by draining its shields

7 Construction process Edit Starting at four precisely defined points in the geostationary orbit, four space elevators are built. Eventually they become massive towers, each measuring several hundred kilometers in diameter and extending to a length of about 165,000 km. The towers contain elevators which are used to transport silicate building material to the construction sites at geostationary orbit. 7.1 Skeleton and shell Edit The building material is converted into vacuum-porous aggregate and used to form the skeleton. It is built retaining constant symmetry and balance at every moment and will ultimately span around all sides of the earth. Thenmagma is pumped towards the skeleton, where it is used to form thin shells in the skeletal openings. Eight of these openings are fitted with large, inward-curving window domes made out of silicon glass. 7.2 The Great Rains Edit Having been used up to a large degree, the Earth has shrunk, the polar ice caps have melted and the Earth's mass and therefore gravity has declined. This leads to the sudden loss of the atmosphere and hydrosphere, which wander outwards towards the new World. The Sargasso Sea Globus Cluster' equator zones are equipped with a system of trenches and moulds that will become rivers, lakes and seas as soon as the water has settled. The transfer process of atmosphere and hydrosphere is called "The Great Rains". 7.3 Colonization Edit The moment the Great Rains start, the Earth becomes uninhabitable. Along with massive amounts of seed for all existing plants, the regions of high cultural value, that need to be conserved and reapplied on Globus Cassus have been stored in the skeleton nodes which touch the towers. Humans and animals rise in the towers to await the end of the rains and start settling on the two equator regions.

EconomyEdit

The main economy on Scatopolis City Three was the mining of tibanna gas. Tibanna gas was a very important resource used by both the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire for powering weapons. When supercharged, the gas could fire a bolt of energy, resulting in the blaster shot. Spinsealed tibanna gas, which occurred naturally on Bespin, had the ability to quadruple the power of blaster bolts passing through it. Most of the settlements on Scatopolis City Three were mining colonies, such as Lando Calrissian's facility in 3 ABY.

While most of the commercial exploitation of Scatopolis City Three was done by Figg & Associates, there were also a few gas prospectors. These lone pilots would search the skies for "gas strikes" in their ramshackle vessels, where plumes of deep gas would spurt into the high atmosphere due to internal storms deep below them. Some gas prospectors would ride extremely close to storm systems in the hope of gaining many riches from a gas strike, only to vanish without trace in the massive and unpredictable storms.

Scatopolis City Three exists not only as a mining colony, extracting valuable Tibanna gas from the depths of the giant planet, but also as a sanctuary for those trying to escape the turmoil gripping the galaxy. Though profitable, Scatopolis City Three is small enough not to be noticed by larger authorities such as the Mining Guild. It prospered under the capable stewardship of Baron-Administrator Lando Calrissian. Calrissian, assisted by his aide Lobot, contended with self-sufficiency issues and labor difficulties throughout his brief term.

Subterranea is a network of massive caves, passages, and tunnels, some large enough to hold cities, that are inhabited by the various races ofSubterraneans. The first recorded entrance to Subterranea was found at Monster Island. Subterranea contains water in underground rivers, pools, and lakes. It has high temperatures and no weather, and its atmosphere is roughly the same as Earth's surface with fresh air supplied through a passage to the surface world. Subterranea is a kingdom that was built beneath the Earth. At one point, it was home to the Deviants. Subterranea did not actually lie at the center of the Earth, but instead consisted of a seemingly planet-wide network of caverns lying miles beneath Earth's surface. Around 2,000 years ago, the priests of the city of Netheria (which was located on Atlantis) foresaw that Atlantis would be attacked by the Deviants who had their empire based in Lemuria. Therefore, the people of Netheria enclosed their city in a dome of an unknown plastic-like substance and excavated and fortified their city's foundations. Consequently when Atlantis sank, Netheria remained intact and its people survived having discovered a means a recycling their air supply. Netheria sank more deeply over the years until it finally came to rest in a huge sub-sea cavern. Afterwards, the Netherians renamed their realm the Netherworld and are now known as Netherworlders. Points of interest[edit] There are some famous locations in Subterranea: • Abandoned City - This was an abandoned city that was once used by the High Evolutionary. It has recently been raised to the surface world in the United States with its inhabitants wanting their city to be declared its own independent nation. • Lechuguilla - One of the Moloid cities in Subterranea. • Meramec - An underwater city that is inhabited by aquatic Moloids. • Valley of Diamonds - A valley made up with many diamonds that are so bright, they can blind anyone that sees it. Anyone who wants to travel through the Valley of Diamonds must have special sunglasses.

10 Star Trek Edit The Sargasso Sea of Space,is a vast region, A ship graveyard is a region of space dedicated to decommissioned or badly damaged ships, also known as a surplus depot. Surplus Depot Z15 is a Federation example of such a facility. Episode: ANI 22010 - The Time Trap The parallel dimension of Elysia, located within the mysterious region of space known as the Delta Triangle, was sometimes compared to Earth's Sargasso Sea, which became home to countless shipwrecks from virtually every seafaring nation on the planet. Like the Sargasso Sea, Elysia became the final resting place for space vessels from across the known galaxy. The U.S.S. Enterprise and the I.K.S. Klothos were both trapped here briefly, breaking free only by linking their ships' systems on stardate 5267.6 (2269). Elysia Episode: ANI 22010 - The Time Trap A centuries-old graveyard of space vessels located in the extradimensional region of space known as the Delta Triangle. Time essentially stands still in Elysia. Representatives of countless intelligent species had become trapped here over the years, and a diverse group of the stranded banded together to form a decision-making body known as the Elysian Council; this deliberative group was extremely averse to acts of violence, which the Council sometimes punished by placing the offenders in hibernation for upwards of a century. The U.S.S. Enterprise, commanded by Captain James Kirk, and the I.K.S. Klothos, under the command of Captain Kor, both became trapped here briefly in 2269, escaping on stardate The Super-Sargasso is the dimension into which lost things go, whose existence was proposed by Charles Hoy Fort, writer and researcher into anomalous phenomena. It may be thought of as the spontaneous, anomalous teleportation of an object into another dimension. Fort did not actually believe that it existed but, in the vein of the ancient Greek skeptics, he wished only to present a theory that was just as plausible as those in the mainstream. The name alludes to the Sargasso Sea of the Atlantic Ocean, which lies next to the Bermuda Triangle. The 1964 Science Fiction book Into the Alternate Universe by A. Bertram Chandler seems to be inspired by Fort's idea, and depicts an actual "Super-Sargasso Sea" in space, where the protagonist discovers many lost spaceships and ocean-going ones, some fictional and some historical, which have "fallen through a dimensional barrier". The DC Comic strip, known Ironwulf, portrayed their own version of a Sargasso Sea'with floating star ship, some so old,as to hanging garden inside.Lord Ironwulf, flew a shuttle craft onto one of them, rescrew Sebaba O'Neil, from a bunch brutal barbarian creatures, featured earlier in the comic. The Sargasso Sea is a region in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by ocean currents. It is bounded on the west by the Gulf Stream; on the north, by the North Atlantic Current; on the east, by theCanary Current; and on the south, by the North Atlantic Equatorial Current. This system of currents forms theNorth Atlantic Subtropical Gyre. The Sargasso is roughly 700 statute miles wide and 2,000 statute miles long (1,100 km wide and 3,200 km long). It stretches from roughly 70 degrees west to 40 degrees west, and from 25 degrees north to 35 degrees north. Bermuda is near the western fringes of the sea. The Sargasso Sea is the only "sea" without shores.Terran Space The ocean water in the Sargasso Sea is distinctive for its deep blue color and exceptional clarity, with underwater visibility of up to Warp drive. 11 History Edit Portuguese sailors were among the first to discover this region in the 15th century, although it may have been known to earlier mariners, as a poem by the late 4th century AD author, Rufus Festus Avienus, describes a portion of the Atlantic as being covered with seaweed, citing a now-lost account by the 5th-century BC Carthaginian explorer Himilco the Navigator. Christopher Columbus and his men also noted the Sargasso Sea, and brought reports of the masses of seaweed on the surface. 12 Ecology Edit The Sargasso Sea is home to seaweed of the genus Sargassum, which floats en masse on the surface there. The sargassum is not a threat to shipping, and historic incidents of sailing ships being trapped there are due to the often calm winds of the horse latitudes. The Sargasso Sea also plays a major role in the migration of the European eel and the American eel. Thelarvae of both species hatch there and go to Europe and/or the East Coast of North America. Later in life, they try to return to the Sargasso Sea to lay eggs. It is also believed that after hatching, young Loggerhead Sea Turtlesuse currents, such as the Gulf Stream to travel to the Sargasso Sea, where they use the Sargassum as cover from predation until they are mature. The Sargasso Sea was the subject of a recent metagenomics effort called the Global Ocean Sampling (GOS) survey by J. Craig Venter and others, to evaluate the diversity of microbial life there. The results have indicated that, contrary to previous theories, the area has a wide variety of prokaryotic life. Owing to surface currents, the Sargasso accumulates a high concentration of non-biodegradable plastic waste. This huge vortex of garbage is similar to another ocean phenomenon, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. 13 Popular Culture Edit The Sargasso Sea is often portrayed in literature and the media as an area of mystery. Books The Sargasso Sea features in classic fantasy stories by William Hope Hodgson, such as his novel The Boats of the "Glen Carrig" (1907) and several related short stories. Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Seasdescribes the Sargasso Sea and gives an account of its formation. Edwin Corley's novel, Sargasso, revolves around a fictional account of Apollo 19 splashing down in the Sargasso sea empty. In Marvel 1602, it is where the [/index.php?title=marvel_1602:_Fantastick_Four&action=edit&redlink=1 Fantastick Four] gained their powers. Jean Rhys's Novel, Wide Sargasso Sea, plays with the idea that a woman can become lost in her own society and thus driven out of her mind, a la Bronte's 'mad woman in the attic'. Fred Andrew's mystery novel Plato's Pond features the fictitious land of Gaia, which is a continent in the middle of the Sargassum Sea. Steve Alten's novel, The Loch revolves around an unknown species of animal being encountered in the depths of the Sargasso Sea. Pulp Magazines The Sargasso Sea was the venue for the Doc Savage adventure "The Sargasso Ogre" written by Lester Dentunder the psuedonym Kenneth Robeson and published in the October 1933 issue of the Doc Savage pulp magazine.Hydrosphere Film The 1968 movie The Lost Continent was set in a highly fictionalised Sargasso Sea where Spanish galleonstrapped for centuries in seaweed are found in modern times, along with a society of descendants of Conquistadores and sea monsters. Television The first episode of the 1960s animated series Jonny Quest, Mystery of the Lizardmen takes place in the Sargasso Sea. "Lost in the Sargasso Sea" was episode 101 of the TV series Diver Dan. In 2004, the Cartoon Network series The Venture Bros., an oblique parody of Jonny Quest, aired an episode called the Ghosts of the Sargasso, intermingling many pop culture references with the folklore of the Bermuda Triangle. 1 Scatopolis Edit1

a Unique city structure, located at the core of a derrilick Rhandarian World Ship. This is a fictional pan-dimensional city that exists within the Maveric multiverse. It is described as floating in a "bubble" in the "pan-dimensional vortex." Because of its unique situation, Scatopolis City is an important center of multi-versal commerce and much of the city's government is geared toward maintaining favorable trading conditions. , Scatopolis City is not a single city, but a multitude of a thousand different metropolis city dome clusters, scattered about the Sargasso Sea. Different zones of the city operate under different physical laws because of the proximity of other dimensions. Guns and other technology work in some parts of the city and not others. Similarly, magic is operable some places and not others. Swords generally work everywhere. Different dimensions variously move in and out of phase with Scatopolis City One , regularly in some instances and randomly in others. Occasionally different types of civilization will seemingly exist entirely within the confines of different Scatopolis Cities , as for example the TyRhainean Habitation ,which exists along side Kalladon Habitation and Jovian Habitation .Inhabitants" can roam freely throughout each city, or at "Infinity Lanes," a bowling alley in which each lane is a separate dimension. Perhaps the most noted resident of Scatopolis City One is Jason Starwalker , also known as Jason Starwalker . His fate is uniquely tied to that of the city, as he is doomed to be reincarnated for as long as the city exists. This doom came about when Starwalker voluntarily walked out of Heaven to save the life of a friend who, if he were to die, would have been condemned forever to Hell. It is through Jason Starwalker 's experiences during two of his incarnations the Starwalker in different generations that much of what is known about Scatopolis City One was revealed.

2 History Edit While much of Scatopolis City One 's history remains unrecorded, a number of notable events are known. These include the Demon Wars, The Dancer's Rebellions and the Trade Wars. 2.1 [edit]Demon Wars Edit About 25 years city time before the premiere of the Jason Starwalker comic book series, Hell moved into phase with Scatopolis City One . Demons poured over the borders of Hell into the city, quickly overrunning it. The only safe places were those areas of the city with low concentrations of "mana" (magical energy) into which the demons could not venture. These came to be known as the Havens. Also safe were the "hidden dimensions," whose access points were concealed. Because of the Havens, the war quickly became stalemated. Finally, the city was able, through the use of floating forts equipped with "reality generators," to force Hell out of phase with Scatopolis City One and seal the access points permanently. 2.2 [edit]Dancer's First Rebellion Edit The Dancer was the greatest fighter ever to come out of the Arena, Scatopolis City One 's gladatorial games. Following the Demon Wars, he forged the denizens of the Pit, a slum area of the city, into an army and led them against the ruling class of Scatopolis City One . He failed and was thought dead, only to return years later and act to instigate the Trade Wars. 2.3 [edit]Trade Wars Edit Several years after his failed rebellion, Dancer re-emerged as part of a conspiracy with the leader of a powerful interdimensional conglomerate to take over the city government. His machinations led to the assassinations of half of the ruling council and open warfare between the conglomerates and, with his threat to lower the dimensional barriers maintaining the integrity of Scatopolis City One , he almost forced Scatopolis City One to surrender. Starwalker 's intervention stopped the dimensional breach and Dancer was again thwarted. 2.4 [edit]Dancer's Second Rebellion Edit Shortly thereafter, Dancer managed to ally himself with the denizens of Hell, whom he had allowed back into Scatopolis City One through "demon gates" created from the slaughtered remains of several of his trusted lieutenants. Before the demons could fully encroach upon the city, Starwalker and his allies found and destroyed the demon gates, but not before demons possessed several high-ranking government officials. While some of those demons were later destroyed, with Jason Starwalker 's reincarnation as James Twilley two centuries into the future, the end result of these possessions is unknown. 3 [edit]Government Edit During Jason Starwalker 's incarnation as Starwalker , the city was ruled by a Council of Ministers led by Lord William Honesworth. Following the events of the Trade Wars, the Council was replaced by a coalition government consisting of representatives of the various powerful conglomerates. Besides the ruling coalition, several factions and forces played prominent roles in city affairs. By Twilley's time, corporate hold on power had solidified to the point of the individual having few to no rights unless incorporated. Individuals and families would routinely incorporate. 3.1 [edit]The TDP Edit The Trans-Dimensional Police were the law-enforcement division of city government. One known branch of the TDP was the "Shadow Cops," who operated clandestinely, but they were destroyed in the events leading up to the Trade Wars. By the time of Jason Starwalker 's incarnation as Twilley, law enforcement had been privatized. Twilley earned part of his living as a "private cop." 3.2 [edit]Cadre Edit Following the Demon Wars, an elite force called Cadre was created. Its simple mandate was to protect the city. As such agencies often do, Cadre grew out of its initial mandate and its members (particularly its leader, Mayfair) became fanatically devoted to acting in accordance with their personal perception of the best interest of the city. Mayfair was one of those demon-possessed during Dancer's second rebellion but was destroyed shortly thereafter. 3.3 [edit]The Lord Protector Edit The Lord Protector of Scatopolis City One is an artificial being constructed from cells and energies representing all of the various dimensions. As a result, The Lord Protector is charged with vast reality warping powers to be used in the preservation of the city. During Starwalker 's time, the Lord Protector was Phaeton. He was killed and possessed during Dancer's second rebellion and Starwalker and his allies created a new Lord Protector from a cloned being infused with the essence of a sorceress called Sphinx. It is unknown if there continues to be a Lord Protector in Twilley's time. Lord Cumulus also spent much time on Scatopolis City One and was idolized by the citizens. After his untimely death, many others including Phaeton tried to replace him. 4 [edit]Culture Edit Because of Scatopolis City One 's pandimensional nature, any manner of diversion is available there, from activities as mundane as bowling to the most exotic and perverse sexual entertainment imaginable. In Jason Starwalker 's youth, the most popular spectator sport was the gladatorial combat of the Arena. After the Arena was outlawed, a sport called Hardball filled some of the void left by its absence. Another popular activity is the use of tourbots. Small highly mobile robots into which one's consciousness may be projected, tourbots are a safe and economical way to see parts of Scatopolis City One which would otherwise be too dangerous to frequent. Tourbots are not universally loved and in some establishments (including Munden's Bar) they are destroyed on sight. By James Twilley's time, the tourbot industry and cloning technology had merged into the zuvembie industry.

5 The Sargasso Sea or Sargasso Sea of Space Edit The Sargasso Sea or Sargasso Sea of Space, within the Maveric Universe,is a vast region of interconnecting asteroids, comet debris and space stations,in an network of interconnected domed cities out of the largest remaining pieces of the planetoids and asteroids.located near by.Many space vessels from all over the colonial worlds came to survive, the harsh region of the Inner Rim of Terran Space. The Sargasso Sea was a cheaper version of a megastructure, such as a dysonsphere, but created on a small, different scale. The concept was to provide an easy access spacers trading post, near the Colonial Alliance Stargate cluster,to and from destinations such as Terra-Prime.

The Sargasso Sea Cluster of City Domes were highly decentralized in structure, with a series of multitude of Scatopolis City Clusters, linked together by specific bridge networks engineering section .All vital systems were spread throughout the many city domes, which, along with the presence of a regenerative outer hull, made it highly resistant to damage and system failures. 6 Government Edit

Like the Sargasso Sea, Elysia became the final resting place for space vessels from across the known galaxy.The survivors had created their government over time and attempted to live in harmony.A centuries-old graveyard of space vessels located in the extradimensional region of space known as the Delta Triangle. Time essentially stands still in Elysia. Representatives of countless intelligent species had become trapped here over the years, and a diverse group of the stranded banded together to form a decision-making body known as the Elysian Council;

7 Scatopolis Edit At the center of the Sargasso Sea,is Scatopolis-the largest of the Sargasso City Domes and much of the city's government is geared toward maintaining favorable trading conditions.Different zones of the city operate under different jurisdiction of those occuplied society laws because of the proximity of each civilization set up shop within that zone. 7.1 Geometric structure Edit Sargasso Sphere has the form of a compressed geodesic icosahedron with two diagonal openings. 7.2 Building material Edit Earth's crust, mantle and core are gradually excavated, transported outwards and then transformed to larger strength and reduced density. While the crust is mined from open pits in the continent's centers, magma and the liquid mantle are pumped across transfer hoses. The core is dismantled from the surface. 7.3 Planetary scale Edit Since the stationary Rhandarian cables would stay clear inside the moon's trajectory, the construction of Sargasso Sea Globus Cluster would not alter the Central Cluster system. However, on planetary scale the proportions would be altered, with Sargasso Globus Cluster being only slightly smaller than Saturn, the Solar System's second-largest planet. 8 Tactical systems Edit The main tactic employed by City Domes when engaging another vessel was to seize it with a tractor beam and render its defenses useless by draining its shields 9 Construction process Edit Starting at four precisely defined points in the geostationary orbit, four space elevators are built. Eventually they become massive towers, each measuring several hundred kilometers in diameter and extending to a length of about 165,000 km. The towers contain elevators which are used to transport silicate building material to the construction sites at geostationary orbit. 9.1 Skeleton and shell Edit The building material is converted into vacuum-porous aggregate and used to form the skeleton. 9.2 The Great Rains Edit Having been used up to a large degree, the Earth has shrunk, the polar ice caps have melted and the Earth's mass and therefore gravity has declined. 9.3 Colonization Edit The moment the Great Rains start, the Earth becomes uninhabitable.

10 Properties Edit The proposed megastructure would incorporate all of Earth's matter. Sunlight would enter through two large windows, and gravity would be provided by centrifugal force. Sargasso Sea Globus Cluster, was origally thought to be a massive multi level space port, fitted with thousans of space docks, cargo bays, space elevators, that star ships could easilly maneuver in and out, easier that a Dyson Sphere or Super Star Castlle network 10.3 Plant growth Edit The remaining Earth core is dismantled to build the shells that lie in the pole regions. During this process, the massive heat radiation of the core accelerates plant growth and therefore aids the process of establishing a functioning biosphere. 11 Technical details and capabilities Edit The Scatopolis, rest upon a huge, artificial ball of connecting habitation domes, linked by sub shuttle transit tunnel.and the The Central Sphere or Scatopolisnetwork was very large, almost the size of a Jovian Class Planetsand spherical, with the surface made up of smaller, dome-like features, arranged in a distinct pattern based on triangles. The Scatopolisnetwork was able to dispatch at least one small craft, described as a "", and could be controlled by just one crewman using a very simple looking interface. The mass of the The Central Sphere was beyond the ability of 23rd century Terran Federation Starfleet instruments to register. Comman estimated the vessel to "be a mile in diameter".The Sargasso Sea of space appears to be the only known structure of it's kind, not counting such magestructures,as dysonspheres out into space on any kind of significant scale,to exiat with Colonial Alliance space. It is surrounded by a network of space buoys, that orbit as [[satilites about central sphere. For the novel by Jean Rhys, see Wide Sargasso Sea. File:North Atlantic Gyre.pngThe ocean currents of the North Atlantic Gyre The Sargasso Sea is a region in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by ocean currents. It is bounded on the west by the Gulf Stream; on the north, by the North Atlantic Current; on the east, by the Canary Current; and on the south, by the North Atlantic Equatorial Current. This system of currents forms the North Atlantic Subtropical Gyre. The Sargasso is roughly 700 statute miles wide and 2,000 statute miles long (1,100 km wide and 3,200 km long). It stretches from roughly 70 degrees west to 40 degrees west, and from 25 degrees north to 35 degrees north.Bermuda is near the western fringes of the sea. The Sargasso Sea is the only "sea" without shores.[1] The ocean water in the Sargasso Sea is distinctive for its deep blue color and exceptional clarity, with underwater visibility of up to Template:Convert.[2] 13 History Edit Portuguese sailors were among the first to discover this region in the 15th century, although it may have been known to earlier mariners, as a poem by the late 4th century AD author, Rufus Festus Avienus, describes a portion of the Atlantic as being covered with seaweed, citing a now-lost account by the 5th-century BC Carthaginianexplorer Himilco the Navigator. Christopher Columbus and his men also noted the Sargasso Sea, and brought reports of the masses of seaweed on the surface. 14 Ecology Edit File:Anguillamuk.jpgAn image of the distribution and size of eel larvae shows the approximate location of the Sargasso Sea. The Sargasso Sea is home to seaweed of the genus Sargassum, which floats en masse on the surface there. The sargassum is not a threat to shipping, and historic incidents of sailing ships being trapped there are due to the often calm winds of the horse latitudes.[3] The Sargasso Sea also plays a major role in the migration of the European eeland the American eel. The larvae of both species hatch there and go to Europe and/or the East Coast of North America. Later in life, they try to return to the Sargasso Sea to lay eggs. It is also believed that after hatching, young Loggerhead Sea Turtles use currents, such as the Gulf Stream to travel to the Sargasso Sea, where they use the Sargassum as cover from predation until they are mature.[4] The Sargasso Sea was the subject of a recent metagenomics effort called the Global Ocean Sampling (GOS) survey by J. Craig Venter and others, to evaluate the diversity of microbial life there. The results have indicated that, contrary to previous theories, the area has a wide variety of prokaryotic life. Owing to surface currents, the Sargasso accumulates a high concentration of non-biodegradable plastic waste.[5]This huge vortex of garbage is similar to another ocean phenomenon, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. 15 Popular Culture Edit The Sargasso Sea is often portrayed in literature and the media as an area of mystery.[6] 16 Books Edit The Sargasso Sea features in classic fantasy stories by William Hope Hodgson, such as his novel The Boats of the "Glen Carrig" (1907) and several related short stories. Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas describes the Sargasso Sea and gives an account of its formation.[7] Edwin Corley's novel, Sargasso, revolves around a fictional account of Apollo 19 splashing down in the Sargasso sea empty. In Marvel 1602, it is where the Fantastick Four gained their powers. Jean Rhys's Novel, Wide Sargasso Sea, plays with the idea that a woman can become lost in her own society and thus driven out of her mind, a la Bronte's 'mad woman in the attic'. Fred Andrew's mystery novel Plato's Pond [8] features the fictitious land of Gaia, which is a continent in the middle of the Sargassum Sea. Steve Alten's novel, The Loch revolves around an unknown species of animal being encountered in the depths of the Sargasso Sea. 17 Pulp Magazines Edit The Sargasso Sea was the venue for the Doc Savage adventure "The Sargasso Ogre" written by Lester Dent under the psuedonym Kenneth Robeson and published in the October 1933 issue of the Doc Savage pulp magazine.[9][10] 18 Film Edit The 1968 movie The Lost Continent was set in a highly fictionalised Sargasso Sea where Spanish galleons trapped for centuries in seaweed are found in modern times, along with a society of descendants of Conquistadores and sea monsters. 19 Television Edit The first episode of the 1960s animated series Jonny Quest, Mystery of the Lizardmen[11] takes place in the Sargasso Sea. "Lost in the Sargasso Sea" was episode 101 of the TV series Diver Dan.[12] In 2004, the Cartoon Network series The Venture Bros., an oblique parody of Jonny Quest, aired an episode called the Ghosts of the Sargasso, intermingling many pop culture references with the folklore of the Bermuda Triangle. In a reference to this windless, seaweed bogged section of the sea, the Captain of the Ghost Pirates decries "We've been stuck in that stinkin' sargassum for years, which by the way no matter how you cook it, still tastes like hot sargassum." Music The video for Modest Mouse's "Dashboard" involves a sailor's tale of being lost in the Sargasso, in which he is rescued by an island tribe of musical performers.

*The 1964 science fiction novel Into the Alternate Universe by A. Bertram Chandler seems to be inspired by Fort's idea, and depicts an actual "Super-Sargasso Sea" in space, where the protagonist discovers many lost spaceships and ocean-going ones, some fictional and some historical, which have "fallen through a dimensional barrier". *The DC comicbook Ironwolf portrayed a version of the Super Sargasso Sea as a collection of drifting starships, some of which were so old they contained hanging gardens. Lord Ironwolf, the protagonist of the comicbook, flew a shuttle craft onto one of them to rescue Sebaba O'Neil from brutal barbarian creatures featured earlier in the comic. *In cult television history, the Sargasso Sea -- a graveyard of ships -- has often been transposed to the realm of outer space. Gerry Anderson’s Space: 1999 (1975 – 1977) featured two different “Sargasso Sea” scenarios, one in orbital space, and one on a planet surface. *Over the years, the Star Trek franchise has also featured the Sargasso Sea trope. In the Filmation animated series of the early 1970s, an episode called “Time Trap” saw the Enterprise and a Klingon battle-cruiser drawn into a dimensional vortex of Elysia, in a mysterious realm of space called The Delta Triangle. Inside the void was a graveyard of ships that had been trapped there for a very long time. Like the Sargasso Sea, Elysia became the final resting place for space vessels from across the known galaxy. The survivors had created their government over time and attempted to live in harmony.A centuries-old graveyard of space vessels located in the extradimensional region of space known as the Delta Triangle. Klothos, under the command of Captain Kor, both became trapped here briefly in 2269, escaping on stardate 5267.6.Kirk and Klingon commander felt it was better avoid being trapped here. To avoid suffering the same fate, the Klingons and the Enterprise had to join forces, and link up their respective engines. Star Trek: Voyager (1995 – 2001) repeated the Sargasso Sea convention in its final season, in an episode titled “The Void.” There, Voyager slipped into an area of space without matter, and became trapped with other spaceships, some of which had begun to resort to piracy and theft to survive. After dealing with a duplicitous alien captain, Valen (Robin Sachs), Voyager escapes the void using a device called a “modulator.” Doctor Who has also visited the Sargasso Sea concept on more than one occasion. In “The Brain of Morbius,” the Sisterhood of Karn brings down any spaceships that wander by their world…for fear that their crews plan to steal the Elixir of Life. When the TARDIS lands on Karn at the behest of the Time Lords, Sarah-Jane (Elisabeth Sladen) terms the spaceship cemetery a “Sargasso Sea.” *More recently, the eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) discovered a Sargasso Sea of half-devoured TARDIS’s on a distant world outside of the conventional universe, in a kind of bubble or pocket dimension. When his own TARDIS is stolen during this episode, “The Doctors Wife,” The Doctor and the “soul” of his TARDIS must construct a time capsule to retrieve it out of the TARDIS corpses. *Terrestrial Sargasso Seas have also appeared in the puppet-show Diver Dan (1960) story “Lost in the Sargasso Sea”) and in Jonny Quest (“The Mystery of the Lizard-Men”) and, after a fashion, in The X-Files Bermuda Triangle episode “Triangle.”*First Appearance: Fantastic Four I#209 (August, 1979) Created by Marv Wolfman, John Byrne, and Joe Sinnott.featured The Sargasso of Space is presumably named after the Sargasso Sea of Earth, near Skrull space, while the Fantastic Four were insearch of Galactus(Fantastic Four I#209 (fb) - BTS) - Grogarr captured Krogg and five other Slig criminals and was transporting them back to Ankara when they escaped and mortally wounded him. Their badly damaged ship was left floating helplessly a section of the cosmos known as the "Sargasso of Space," which served as a virtual graveyard of spaceships. (Fantastic Four I#209) - During their search for Galactus, the Fantastic Four detected lifesigns in one of the ships in the "Sargasso of Space." They investigated and found the dying guard Grogarr, who warned them about the escaped prisoners, Krogg and the others, before passing on. As they searched the ship, they were assaulted by Krogg's men. As they struggled, the FF noticed that Krogg was making a beeline for the Xandarian Nova Ship the FF had been piloting. Defeating the others, the FF made it to the Nova ship, only to find Krogg already dead. The only other present aboard the Nova ship had been the robot HERBIE, but told them that life extinction was not part of its programming. The FF put the six surviving Slig prisoners into stasis and sent a sonic beacon from Grogarr's ship to the Slig homeworld, based on previous settings. They then left the prisoners in a small cargo device and continued their mission. *An episode of Psi Factor where The OSIR team races to solve a mysterious natural anomaly after frogs begin falling from the sky. But when other items rain down, it's feared that the cause may be more ominous than mere weather.
