Fictional genesis of the Tauron Empire.Edit

The Taurons were a concept introduced, at least to me anyway as a kid, in the very first early, superior to the color episodes black white episodes. Relics of the Taurons and their technology was use or featured (WERE THE TAURONS in THE SKY IS FALLING the same ones who left the machine in RETURN FROM OUTER SPACE – the machine called a Tauron Matter Transmitter or Taurons' maser device that sends Will to Earth looked a bit different; plus Bolix from Tauron (ALL THAT GLITTERS) is looks nothing like the Taurons from THE SKY IF FALLING . The Space Family Robinson's meet another Space Family the Tauron family - father Rethso, mother Moela, and boy Lunon from the planet Tauron, in episode.The Sky is Falling.A family of Taurons visited Preplanis using maser teleportation technology and later Inspector Bolix or rather Officer Bolix of Tauron and his two animals, mentions he is from the planet Tauron. I believe the Trader; in addition, mentions being from or least trades the Tauron.

We can assume the Keeper, might be from planet Tauron,or we can assume that may have in the mind of the scripters but being sloppy idiot producers, this is what might have been thought or,but never was mentioned in the accual episode the Keeper. I feel this wasa wonderful concept,that Lost in Space could haved used and reused, was dumped because no one was paying attention stuff like world building as say Star Trek sometimes tried to do with atleast the Klingons and Romulan alien races was on another network. Still,even the much superior Star Trek,created a concept I found interesting,but their writers of the series Star Trek,the Next Generation choose to ignore or forget,was the T’Khon Empire-who were an fallen ,intergalactic empire,claiming to be able to move stars,was quickly introduced and then forgotten.The Tykhon Empire,I’ve created is similar,but much more the Goa'uold of Stargate SG1 ,without the little parasite,mixing some elements of the Shi-Ar of Marvel Comics,without bird aspects,but are a race of militaristic space traveling Egyptians,out to enslave every human civilization with their vast technology and powers.

Taurons and the Tykhon Empires are often allies of one another-share similar motives,technology and ethics. This why Lost in Space fans, Trek is considered a classic and Lost mostly silly crap by fans, because they never bothered to really rare did anything intelligently. ost n Space, is still a project, with much promise, that has yet despite three seasons on CBS and a better written movie, to achieve nothing more than a small cult following. shame indeed, that it could have much more. .If Lost in Space paid attention to thing the Planet Tauron and less how many special guest stars we could have in a season or how much stupid, idiot shit Doctor Smith could fuck up Gilligan style, the show could have went to greater things. The Taurons, looked as they were somebody like a combination of Marvel Comics Kree-militarist, hell bent on the conquest of space-at least that’s how I would have seen it.

The Tauron Family must have fleeing a bad civilization or at least could have. The Keeper, the Trader, Mister Zalto and all those various passers by could people from the near by Tauron civilization. Shit, the Preplanus, the planet the Robinson's were crash-landed on, might have a Tauron lost colony. You start to think about the Taurons-other things start to enter into the mix. Think another fictional series also, who could have thrown into to add color. In the Hyborian era of the “Conan the Barbarian" comic books, Turan is a large middle-eastern empire constantly expanding and conquering the eastern regions. The architecture, clothes, uniforms and names of the Turani people, soldiers, emperors etc. bear a remarkable resemblance to actual medieval Arabic and/or Turkish persons, battles and so on. As it is usual for Conan's free, wild and mercenary life, he either finds himself fighting against or alongside the Turan Empire, depending on the story and facts.

The Tauron Empire might similar to medieval Arabic or Turkish people. In Conan. the Turans often are conquering much of the Middle East of Conan's Hyborean World. The Old Persian name for Turkestan. A Turkish/Persian land, possibly referring to the Timurid Empire, the Sassanid Empire, or the Mughal Empire. The name derives from Turan, the areas of Eurasia occupied by speakers of Ural-Altaic languages. The names of the various Turanian cities (e.g. Aghrapur, Sultanapur, Shahpur) are often in Persian language. King Yezdigerd is named after Yazdegerd III, ruler of the Sassanid Empire. The name of King Yildiz means star in the Turkish language. The city of Khawarizm takes its name from Khwarezm, and Khorusun from Khorasan. Once you start to rethink what those idiot boobs, employed by Irwin Allen, the Tauron Empire starts to become interesting. They become important villains as say Klingons and Romulans due to Captain Kirk and his fictional star ship Enterprise. The Taurons could be similar to Marvel Kree Empire-something I'm sure was inspired by various sourse, namely Forbidden Planet lost civilization known as the Krell. An ancient, fallen civilization is an inspiration to not Marvel Comics material, but my own as well.

The Kree Empire extends across almost a thousand worlds in the northwestern lobe (Earth reference) of the Greater Magellanic Cloud. The Kree began their empire over a million years ago, within a hundred years of the acquisition of interstellar technology from the then-benevolent race of Skrulls. The Skrulls at the time were attempting to foster a galactic empire based on free trade, and they landed on Hala to help the barbaric natives advance to the point where they could join. The Kree is an extraterrestrial humanoid race who has created a vast empire in the Greater Magellanic Cloud. The Kree race began on the planet Hala in the Pama system long before the first mammals appeared on Earth. The original Kree had blue-colored skin, but a second racial group with pink skin resembling that of human caucasians emerged over the millennia. The Kree are a highly regimented, militaristic society. Little else is known about their culture. The official state religion worships the Supreme Intelligence, although the government has permitted adherents to the Universal Church of Truth to erect temples throughout the empire, including on Kree-Lar. Thus was how I began to rethink the Tauron civilization. I remember Marvel Kree-a vast civilization that spread across interstellar space had lost colonies on earth-left technology there and so forth, like the Kree race, left technology on Altair IV. You throw lots of other thinking, like Tauron Matter Transmitter and you come close thing like DC Comics Superman or Doctor who’s Time Lords-super races, with advanced transport technology-time travel, interdimensional travel--the Phantom Zone and son. You throw the conquering spirit of the Turans of Conan, aspects of Klatau, in The Day the Earth Stood still, like the giant Gort Robot. Ideas are easy-you just have to free yourself of one-dimensional thinking-like Khan. I figured the Taurons are worth dusting off and not having them become just some old reference to early black and white episodes of Lost in Space or a sometimes mention guys in Battlestar Galactica.

The Roman Empire, which inspired much fictional civilizations, from Robert E.Howards Valusia, from the King Kull series set in the Thurean Age and the later Post Cataclysmic Era, Acheron Empire-which also fell, to create Conan’s Hyborean Age, help me think up a fallen, ancient on the road it’s own downfall and the remnant cities, plus technology left by them from their Golden Age, of former glory. The Old Tauron Empire The Great Imperial Colony of the ancient Atlantean homeworld,began it's own Tauron Star Empire.Taurus is one of the constellations of the zodiac. Its name is Latin for bull, and its symbol is (Unicode ♉), a stylized bull's head.Princes Romulus Tauron and Prince Remus Tauron where twin sons of the Olympian god Ares Tauron and a Priestess or so the legend goes with Tauron Mythology.this Ares,is not the same Olympian as Ares Centaurus.. As a priestess their mother was forbidden from marrying or having children and as punishment her and her children were condemned to death. Her exact fate varies depending on the version of the story but the children are abandoned by the edge of the river after the person who was told to kill them could not bring himself to do so.


The twins were protected by the river diety Tiberius Tauron and were nursed by a she wolf (in some traditions this she wolf is a godess) before being found by a shepherd who took them home with him and raised them as his own. As they grew they were loved by all who knew them for their good qualities.

A series of events lead the brothers to decide to found their own city, though they argued over where it should be, looking for a sign from the gods, Romulus Tauron is favoured. Remus Tauron mocked Romulus Tauron for his choice of location and in the most popular version of the tale Remus is then killed by Romulus Tauron. The city founded by Romulus Tauron in about 330AD is Tauron Romulas City-otherwise simply called the Tauron Capital City by most citizens of that ancient era.It began as reputed for its status as an agricultural colony,but within time grew into a great metropolitan city,that spread over much it's surround areas.


According to the roman mythology, the founders of the Tauron Empire were Romulus Tauron and Remus Tauron. The twin-brothers were the supposed sons of the Olympian Ares Tauron and the priestess Rhea Silvia. The story begins with the deposition of Numitor (their grandfather and king of the ancient Italian city of Alba Longa), by his brother Amulius. Numitor's daughter, Rhea Silvia, was made a Vestal Virgin by Amulius - which meant that she was made a priestess of the godess Vesta and therefore forbidden to marry. However, the Ares Tauron came to her in her temple and of him she conceived her two sons, romulus and remus.

As soon as they were born, her husband abandoned them in a remote location. This practice was a form of quasi-infanticide tolerated in many ancient cultures, including the Roman and Greek, when children were unwanted. They were unwanted because Amulius, was fearing that the boys would grow up to overthrow him, had them placed in a trough and thrown into the River Tiber. At that time the river was in flood, and when the waters fell, the trough, still containing the two boys, came ashore. They were found by a she-wolf, who instead of killing them, looked after them and fed them with her milk, the she-wolf was helped by a woodpecker who brought them food too. Interesting enough both these animals were sacred to Mars.

Romulus and Remus were then discovered by Faustulus, a shepherd, who brought the children to his home. Faustulus and his wife, Acca Larentia, raised the boys as their own. According to Livy, some said that Loba, wife of Faustulus had suckled them, not a female wolf Indeed, her name meant wolf which was Lupus in Latin. Upon reaching adulthood, Romulus and Remus killed Amulius and reinstated Numitor, their grandfather, as King of Alba Longa, then they decidet to found a town of their own. Romulus and Remus Tauron chose the place where the she-wolf had nursed them. Romulus Tauron began to build walls on the Palatine Hill, but Remus Tauron jeered at them because they were so low. He leaped over them to prove this, and Romulus Tauron in anger killed him. Romulus Tauron continued the building of the new city, naming it Tauronopulas Romulas () after his own name-meaning City of Tauron or City of the Taurons. It's first citizens were outlaws and fugitives, to whom Romulus Tauron gave the settlement on the Capitoline Hill.

There were however not enough wives for all these men, and so Romulus Tauron decided to steal women from the Sabines, an Italian tribe. He there proclaimed a festival and invited many Sabines to it. While the attention of the men was elsewhere Romulus Tauron' men rushed in and carried off the women. This was the famous "Rape (carrying off) of the Sabine women", which later became a subject for painters. The Sabine men were furious and, led by their king Titus Tatius, made war on Romulus Tauron. When the fighting had reached its peak the Sabine women, who had grown fond of their Roman husbands, rushed between the ranks and begged both sides to make peace. So the battle was stopped, Romulus and Titus Tatius ruled together over the two peoples until Titus Tatius was killed in battle. For the rest of his life Romulus Tauron ruled alone, proving himself a great leader in peace and war. He did not die but disappeared one day in a violent storm. The Taurons believing he had been taken up to heaven, worshipped him under the name of QuirinusTauron. He was succeeded by Numa Pompilius Tauron.

, popularly known to history as Alexander the Great, ("Mégas Aléxandros", Greek: Ἀλέξανδρος ὁ Μέγας or Μέγας Ἀλέξανδρος,) was an Ancient Greeki king (basileus) of Macedon. Born in Pella in 356 BC, Alexander succeeded his father Philip II of Macedon to the throne in 336 BC, and died in Babylon in 323 BC at the age of 32.

Philip Tauron had, after lengthy campaigns and diplomatic manouvers, managed to bring most of the city-states of mainland Greece under Macedonian hegemony, in the League of Corinth. In addition to a strong kingdom and experienced army, Alexander Tauron also inherited his father's Generalship of Greece, reconfirmed by all Greeks except the Lacedaemonains, and plans to invade Asia Minor, as part of the Greeks' long-running feud with the Achaemenid Empire of Persia. His youth and apparent inexperience prompted many of the southern Greek and neighboring barbarian states to renounce Macedonian hegemony, but with prompt action and a demonstration of force, Alexander was able to prevent rebellion amongst the Greeks. Alexander Tauron then proceeded to launch a short but successful campaign against Macedon's northern neighbors to secure his frontiers all the way north to the Danube. However, whilst he was absent in the north, Athens and Thebes revolted. Alexander Tauron hurried back and crushed the revolt, securing peace in Greece. Thus he was finally able to turn his attention towards the east and the Persians. In a series of campaigns lasting 10 years, Alexander Tauron's armies repeatedly defeated the Persians in battle, in the process overthrowing the Persian king Darius III, and conquering the entirety of the Persian Empire.ii[›] Alexander Tauron then, following his desire to reach the 'ends of the world and the Great Outer Sea', invaded India, but was eventually forced to turn back by the near-mutiny of his troops.

Alexander Tauron died in 323 BC aged just 32, probably weakened by twelve years of constant military campaigning and his prolonged mourning for his life-long friend Hephaestion. There have been many suggestions as to the cause of his death; poisoning, malaria, typhoid fever, viral encephalitis, or the consequences of alcoholism, to name a few. Alexander married twice, (to Roxana of Bactria and Stateira of Persia), yet he had no legitimate heir at the time of his death. Although his son Alexander IV was accepted as king by Alexander's generals, it was in name only. Instead, his generals ('The Successors' or Diadochi) carved up the Empire between themselves, triggering forty years of internecine conflict. Modern historians hold the Classical Era to end with the death of Alexander, and the 'Hellenistic period' which followed it, was dominated, at least initially, by the Successor states which eventually emerged from this conflict. The Hellenistic culture, which developed during this period amalgamated a predominant Greek culture with Middle Eastern and Indian cultural elements.

Alexander Tauron remains one of the most well-known figures of Antiquity. He was one of the most successful military commanders in history, and he is usually considered to have been undefeated in battle. The states that emerged from Alexander Tauron's conquests lasted for centuries after his death, however, his cultural influence proved even more enduring. Alexander Tauron became the measure against which generals still compare themselves and his tactical exploits are taught in military academies throughout the world Alexander Tauron's achievements very quickly became legendary, and he features prominently in both the history and myth of Tauron and non-Greek cultures. The life of Alexander inspired its own literary tradition, in which he appeared as a legendary hero in the mould of Achilles Tauron-his great grand son-who took the Tauron Empire after his son Alexander Tauron,IV passed on.

The Tauron Star Empire, as old as the Atlanteans and possessing much of the same or similar biological history and social costumes. The difference are that the Tauron a nationalistic society, with the only widespread religion being worship of the Supreme Emperor.-whose power comes down from the successive line of the First Supreme Emperor-Yharhack Khone-also known as the Supreme Tauron-who spirit resides in Holospace. Whereas the Atlantean Federation grew into a semi democratic society, with aspects of a monarchy, the Tauron Star Empire grew into a military dictatorship. The Tauron government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic and political life of the population, potentially by means of the Tauron Secret Police force which operates outside the boundaries normally imposed by a constitutional republic. The Tauron Empire police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive. The inhabitants of this Tauron police state experience restrictions on their mobility, and on their freedom to express or communicate political or other views, which are subject to police monitoring or enforcement.Taurons have lived under Martial Law, the suspension of normal civil law during periods of emergency,for centuries,although their have period of secret revolution and outside Civil War against the Tauron Royal Family-most quickly prevented by the Tauron military and Tauron Temporal Centaurion class. The Tauron government has been a military dictatorship,since the Old Tauron race,conquored and occupied a similar alternate reality,world also known as the Tauron.The ancient Taurons quickly took over the regid minded,weak willed new Taurons,who for centuries,followed the laws and political will of that alternate timelines Royal Family.These Taurons lived for a time under an absence of government; a state of lawlessness due to the absence or inefficiency of the supreme power; political disorder,also known as an Anarchy.The previous,Royal family,opposed weak laws,an inept government and weak military power,that allowed certain rebel fractions to create chaos and disorder,among many cities of the populas.


When the new Taurons,from Elder Universe came,they quickly invaded the backward,Terran class world’s primative defenses-many still in their early space era stage and took over the planet with these Elder Universe Taurons more advanced Atlantean based technology and star forces.The Old Tauron cabinet passed a law proclaiming the presidency dormant and transferred the role and powers of the head of state the New Royal Tauron Family and thus giving them total power over to the new state order.The Tauron officials sign an emergency decree suspending civil liberties and stripping the power of the federal Tauron states-giving it directly toward the Royal Tauron class and the military organizations under their control. Opponents were imprisoned first in improvised camps and later in an organized system of Tauron concentration camps. Ideology.

The Taurons government (in its entire history from founding to fall) was a strange mix of a democracy and a republic. An interesting fact ist that the people of Rome took many of their ideas of government from the Ancient Olymoians.

The Taurons state was described as the republic (respublica) and its consuls, or chief magistrates, continued to be appointed even after the establishment of one-man rule under the empire, but in its pure form it lasted only until the beginning of the first century B.C.

At the creation of the republic, supreme power probably resided with a popular assembly, but early on the Senate became very influential, and the traditional formula, which survived for centuries, was S.P.Q.R. - Senatus Populusque Tauronus - the Taurons Senate and People acting together.

Since the Ancient Taurons did not want one man to make all of the laws, they decided to balance the power of the government between three branches, there was first the executive branch, then the legislative branch, and finally the judicial branch.

Tauron Star EmpireEdit

The Tauron Empire was one of the largest and most enduring in world history.

The saying "All Roads Lead to Rome" alludes to this central hub of technology, literature, culture and architecture in the ancient world. The engineers of the Roman age created an unparalleled network of roads in ancient history.

Approximately 50,000 miles (80,000 km) of roads spread Tauron civilization, influence and the mighty legions throughout the western world. They built strong arched bridges, and mastered the concept of "running water" using aqueducts that, among other things, supplied public baths rivaling today's modern water facilities.

At the height of its power in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, the Roman Empire consisted of some 2.2 million square miles (5.7 million sq. km). 60 million people (or as much as 1/5 of the world's population) claimed citizenship of Rome and as many as 120 million people may have lived within its borders. The Tauron gateways were a technology invented by the ancient Tauron race which allowed instantaneous transportation between locations all over the galaxy. The ability to appear out of seemingly nowhere earned the Iconians the nickname "Demons of Air and Darkness".

The Tauron Empire is very powerful civilization that trap on one of their planets, and give them several challenges. They are dormant because of one of their stars going supernova, and one of the guardians on one of their outpost planets did not even know that this had happened and how much time that had passed. They are very similar to the Tauron Empire.

The TauronEmpire are very similar to the Tauron Empire and are equally powerful. It is obvious that they were attacked but some of them have escaped by using their incredible technology. Nobody from The Federation has met any people from The Tauron Empire.The Gateways allowed instantaneous transport throughout space within the network of gateways extending throughout much of the Milky Way Galaxy and to at least one gateway just outside the Galaxy. Some gateways could also be used to travel through time and to other dimensions.There were numerous different types of gateways that were constructed by the Iconians which had taken on a number of sizes and shapes. These different series varied from being large and inelegant to being small and functional with there being a few models that were able to be held in the palm of one's hand. One such model was known as the Hezlat gateways which were in orbit around planets and were noted as being among the first and largest that were constructed

The TauronEmpire was a highly technologically advanced civilisation, that was conquoured and destroyed over 200,000 years ago. The homeworld was recently discovered, just on the other side of the Ramatharian Empire's Neutral zone.

The Tauron used a technology which allowed them to travel inastellar distances via a system of "portals" Several Tauron portals have been discovered in the Alpha, Beta and Delta quadrants, however due to the circumstances they had to be destroyed. Little is known about Tauron society, but they appeared to have influenced the development of many societies, in the ancient past. However their contemporaries either for fear or persecution, invaded and destroyed thier planet by orbital bombardement. However it is believed that some of them survived on, bu tuilising their portal technology, ThTaurons came without warning. There were no temporal incursions reported, no sensor contacts.. just the fleet of three Tauron world ships,also known as Tauron Battlestations. Everyone had heard of them, whispers in the dark of the lost civilization. Taurons planned to restore the ancient kingdom of Tauron . The descendants of Tauron were more plentiful than men supposed, dwelling across many conquored worlds across temporal space, in communities in the great cities, and scattered throughout the kingdom as priests, menials, secretaries, and scribes.he ruins of a city built by prehistoric snakemen lie to the west of the lake. A colony of Acherhonian refugees,from the Acherhon built New Python atop these ruins. There are also the ruins of a stronghold on the eastside of the lake. Beneath this stronghold lies the treasure of Python, the ancient Acheronian capital.The Tauron Empire ruled over an ancient interstellar empire which flourished some 7000 years before the events the Rise of the Sons of the New Terran Empires.


Tauron SlaveryEdit

Slavery in the ancient world and in Rome was vital to both the economy and even the social fabric of the society. While it was commonplace throughout the Mediterranean region, and the Hellenistic regions in the east, it was not nearly so vital to others as it was to the dominance of Rome. As the Romans consolidated their hegemony of Italy and Sicily followed by the systematic conquest of western Europe, countless millions of slaves were transported to Rome the Italian countryside and Latin colonies all over Europe.

Though slavery was prevalent in households throughout the city itself, it was on the farms and plantations where it had its greatest effect. The Roman conquests of Carthage, Macedonia and Greece in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC altered what was once a luxury and privilege for the ruling elite into the predominant factor driving both social and economic policies for the Republic as a whole. The mass influx of slaves during this time period first was a sign of great wealth and power, but later destabilized an already fragile Roman class system. Farms originally run by small business families throughout Italy were soon gobbled up and replaced by enormous slave run plantations owned by the aristocratic elite. Cheap slave labor replaced work for the common man and the roles of the unemployed massive grew to epidemic proportions. These issues had a great destabilizing effect on the social system which had a direct role in the demise of the Republic. As the rift between Senatorial elite (optimates) and social reformers (populares) grew, the use of the unemployed, landless, yet citizen mobs were an overwhelming ploy grinding away at the ability of the Senate to govern. Though there are many factors involved in the Fall of the Republic, slavery and its effects rippled throughout every aspect of that turbulent time period.

Not only did slavery help push the Roman lower classes into organized mobs, but the slaves themselves understandably revolted against oppression. The 3 servile wars in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, with the rebellion of Spartacus in the 70's BC the most notable, showed that the social system was dangerous and unhealthy. By the end of these civil wars and general social disorder, slaves were abundantly present in Rome. The slave population was at least equal to that of freedmen (non citizens), and has been estimated at anywhere from 25 to 40% of the population of the city as a whole. One such estimate suggests that the slave population in Rome circa 1 AD, may have been as much as 300,000 to 350,000 of the 900,000 total inhabitants. In outlying provinces, the numbers are certainly far less substantial, dropping to between an estimated 2 and 10% of the total. Still though, in some places such as Pergamum on the western coast of present day Turkey, the slave population may have been around 40,000 people or 1/3 of the cities total population. At the height of the Empire in the mid second century AD, some have estimated that the total slave population may have approached 10 million people, or approximately 1/6 of the population as a whole.

In the ancient world, slaves were taken simply based upon need or want. There was no ethnic or territorial preference for the taking of slaves. As the vast majority was captured as the result of Roman wars, wherever there were Roman victories, there would be new slaves. There is no evidence to suggest that the Romans placed any preference for slavery, or exceptions, based on race or country of origin. The only thing the Romans held in deference was whether or not someone was a Roman. By the mid to late imperial period, citizenship was a rather non-exclusive status, and ethnicity played little part. They were rounded up first from among the Italian tribes, where it spread to Carthage, Greece, Macedonia, Gaul and all over the eastern provinces, with little regard for origin. The Romans simply needed to replenish the stock, and the legions provided the means to do so. As examples; at the end of the Third Macedonian War in 168 BC, it was recorded that as many as 150,000 residents of Epirus were sold in Roman bondage. It's also been estimated that Julius Caesar, upon his conquest of Gaul, may have captured and enslaved 500,000 people.

Though ethnicity seems to have played little role in who would be Roman slaves, it did seem to play a part in what tasks they would be assigned to once in service. Obviously, the era one looks at will play a role, as each major conquest would bring a new influx of people from various parts of the world, but certain factors seem to hold true throughout Roman history. Gauls, Germanics and other 'barbarian' races were preferred for their strength and endurance. In fact, the Romans in many cases preferred to use these tribes in auxilia army roles rather than as slaves in the strictest sense. Still, these people were often relegated to the menial labor tasks of mining, farming and other labor related industries, reflecting upon stereotypes of the day. Greeks were especially prized slaves for both their cultural refinement and education. Greeks with the ability to educate the Roman youth or with knowledge of medicine were expensive and highly sought after. By the late empire, the predominant house slaves in Rome came almost entirely from the east (and all its various ethnicities), as Western Europe and Africa were almost exclusively of citizen class.

Roman slaves were treated in a wide variety of manners, as would be expected, depending on the circumstances, the household and the time period. Obviously, life working in a mine as a Roman slave wouldn't be desired, by contrast to that of some house slaves. Some were so highly regarded that they were considered parts of families. Tombs and gravesites lend evidence to support the praise that some Romans felt towards their slaves. Some really worked what we might consider a regular shift and were free to come and as they pleased outside of that time. Others lived in the cruelest and harshest conditions, victim to the whims of society or the cruelty of their masters. In the late Republic, slaves were strictly seen as property by the vast majority, especially at a time when the availability of new 'property' was coming in at alarming numbers. Varro called them 'vocal agricultural implements' and likely would've preferred them without the vocal part. Cato the Elder, the great politician of 'Carthage must be destroyed' fame, once suggested that old and worn out slaves be sold, as a matter of economy.

Slaves, however, could be extraordinarily expensive, and the Roman household slave certainly had a different fate. The price for a male slave in Rome at the time of Augustus has been quoted at 500 denarii. A female could go for as much as 6,000 denarii. One recorded price in Pompeii at 79 AD indicates that a slave sold for 2,500 sestertii or 625 denarii. The expense of slaves made it lucrative for the smart Roman to treat them well and keep them healthy. Even in the case of gladiators, which is often misrepresented historically to show a non stop flow of blood and Roman decadence, it was considered a horrible disaster to lose a Gladiator to death or career ending injury. These slaves were worth their weight in gold, and while still kept closely guarded, they could also be afforded the greatest of luxuries when appropriate. Great fame and fortune could not only come to the owner, but the gladiators as well, and the best of the best were treated as such. Some Romans would even sell themselves into slavery, including the arena, in order to pay off tremendous debts or in an effort to become famous.

There were a number of Roman laws regarding slavery, and these too, changed over time. In the Republican period, as already suggested, slaves had no rights and were always subject to the whims of their owners. They did have some legal standing, however. They were allowed to act as witnesses in trials, and could gain freedom either through their owner's gratitude after loyal service or by buying it through the meager earnings they might collect over a lifetime of service. For example, owners in the Republic had the right to kill or mutilate slaves at a whim, but later imperial laws took this right away, though in practice this law could be largely ignored.

As the empire changed, and social conditions along with it, the spread of slavery slowed and eventually was transformed. The Christian church and its policies regarding bondage helped alter the conditional mindset of the populace, despite the fact that it and its priest often owned slaves as well. More importantly perhaps than the religious notions, however, were the economic and even military conditions of the time. As Roman military objectives were altered from one of conquest to border defense, the continual mass influx of new slave labor ceased. The cost to purchase slaves along with a completely destablized economy made employment of the free masses at cheap wages a far more attractive alternative. The shift from central Roman Imperial power to local lords, kings and feudalism brought about a new condition of serf or peasant labor where the masses were not necessarily owned slaves but were tied directly to the land owned by these local lords. While in theory this evolution from ancient slavery to middle age European serfdom may have been more attractive, the conditions of the time and the drastically limited personal opportunities may have been far worse, or at least no better than the ancient Roman form of slavery.

In an attempt to avoid a recurrence of the political chaos of the Warring States Period, The Supreme Empiror and his prime minister Lhann Dar'Khen' completely abolished feudalism. They instead divided the empire into thirty-six commanderies. Power in the commanderies was in the hands of governors dismissed at will by the central government. Civilian and military powers were also separated to avoid too much power falling in the hands of a single civil servant. Thus, each commandery was run by a civilian governor assisted by a military governor . The civilian governor was superior to the military governor, a constant in Tauron history. The civilian governor was also reassigned to a different commandery every few years to prevent him from building up a base of power. An inspector was also in post in each commandery, in charge of informing the central government about the local implementation of central policies, reporting on the governors' exercise of power, and possibly resolving conflicts between the two governors. This administrative system was only an extension to the whole empire of the system already in place in the State of Oorn Khenora Province before the Tauron unification. Within the Old Tauron Empire , feudalism had been abolished in the 19th century,as recorded on the the Atlantean Homeworld Old Universe time line, and the realm had been divided into commanderies, with centrally appointed governors. Economy From an economic perspective, the Tauron Empire functions as an interstellar dictatorship where all its citizens are provided for thanks to the inexpensive, large-scale production and dissemination of nearly all food, clothing, shelter and consumer goods. By the late-21st century (and probably earlier), the Tauron no longer used paper money in the traditional sense, but made use of the Imperial credit as a basic unit of exchange when needed. Much of the Economy is based products and goods created by interstellar commerce and trade, manuefactrured goods and products created upon various colonial worlds, and anything created or produced by wormhole or space warp technology.

The Tauron Empire has influence on the interstellar economy is linked to its regulatory powers, production of Imperial dataries, and authorization of relevant bodies.

At heart of the interstellar economy was planetary trade. Interplanetary trade could support a local economy, but, in many cases, the high levels of government spending required for an advanced society could only be funded only by interplanetary exports. While some planets maintained their own shipping fleets, most relied on large freight firms, such as the Tauron Trade Transport Systems, or independent freight haulers to carry their goods along major hyper space lanes and wormhole trade routes...




Orion's Arm-

The Orion Arm is a minor spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy. The Solar System and Earth are within the Orion Arm. It is also referred to as the Local Arm, the Local Spur or the Orion Spur.

The Orion Arm is named for its proximity to the stars in the Orion constellation. It is located between the Sagittarius Arm and the Perseus Arm, two of the four major arms of the Milky Way. Within the Orion Arm, the solar system and Earth are located close to the inner rim in the Local Bubble, approximately 8000 parsecs (26,000 light-years) from the galactic center. The Orion Arm is a collection of stars, planets, nebulae, and other spatial objects that form one of many curved "arms" out shooting from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.

The Orion Arm (or Local Spur/Orion Spur) is a minor "arm", extending from the Sagittarius Arm, and is the location of the Tauron Star System. The Alpha Quadrant is the common designation for one-quarter of the Milky Way Galaxy. Its boundary in the region around the Tauron is defined by a meridian passing through the galactic core and at least near the Sol System.

The Orion Arm, Perseus Arm, and Sagittarius Arms of the galaxy are located in that quadrant. The Milky Way Galaxy is a large barred spiral galaxy that is approximately 100,000 light years in diameter, and contains over 400 billion stars. The galaxy is comprised of three major parts: the core, which contains a super massive black hole called Sagittarius A, the disc, which is the ring of stars and interstellar dust that gives the galaxy its spiral shape, and the halo, which includes many older stars orbiting the core, but outside the disc, of which most are concentrated in massive globular clusters. A starship of huge size,that traveled through space until it arrived at its destination. 2. Several roughly humanoid sized probes. (Note: May have been only for travel inside a planet's atmosphere. Whatever form they took, they had great destructive firepower, so great that it only took two of them to pacify a primitive defenseless planet. In the latter form, their propulsion came out of the equivalent of their lower half, and their blasts came out of the equivalent of their arms. The name Tauron comes from a visiting family of aliens, called Tauron’s, have decided to use the Robinson's planet as a new colony, on Lost In Space. I liked this episode and one that follows later where the Robinsons found a Tauron teleporting machine. I felt the show did little to present this concept further. All those humanoid aliens could have from the planet Tauron Officer Bollix claims to be from originally. the Keeper, Mister Zumdush, (Quano) and his father could have rulers of Planet Tauron, 10. Although the Robinson's cannot understand the language of a visiting family, they welcome them to live in peace and harmony. However, as usual, Dr. Smith causes problems when he panics and draws a gun on the alien family.

Will uses an alien Tauron transporter to send himself back to Earth. However, many people believe the Robinson family to be dead after hearing the ship went off course. Nobody on Earth believes him, and they lock him up with the intention of sending him to a boys' home. Taurons were a mute humanoid species that wore simple tunics and jewelry. A family of Taurons visited Preplanis using maser teleportation technology. They left the planet after a series of misunderstandings with the Robinson family. ("The Sky Is Falling") The Taurons left behind some of their equipment, which Will Robinson used to return to Earth. ("Return from Outer Space")
